    My Trip Report

Well, time to head to the airport. Pretty much just flying by the seat of my pants the next few days. The only set plans are watching the WVU/Purdue basketball game today if SWA gets me there in time, Conference Championships tomorrow and the meet at MSS tomorrow. As you can tell from my sig I am staying at TI. Hopefully I can throw in a couple updates the next few days.

Day 1 in the books. Checked out a few sportsbooks checking out futures. Surprised how much I enjoyed betting baskets. Might have been just a good day. 7-3 on bets. Played a ton of DDB. Must be an 8 and Q trip for me. First 5 quads were either 8s or Qs. Just took inventory and looks like day one -$750.

I don't think I was too far behind you. Ended up back at TI playing BJ. It got ugly.

Great time. Glad I got to meet you all.

    Day 1

My flight was at 7:20am direct from PIT to LAS. Left the house at 4:45am which really cut it close. I have no idea what I was thinking. Just made to my gate when my B50 group was called to board. Kinda sucked since I didn't have to to eat breakfast. Smooth fight and we landed 30-35 minutes early but we were stuck on the tarmac until a gate came open which took about 15 minutes.

Cabbed it to TI. This was the first time I have been asked which route I would prefer. I told the driver take surface streets since I was tunneled every other trip to TI. Those trips usually ran $22-$25 before tip which I was OK with since it seemed like a quick ride. This time taking the surface streets the ride came to $19 before tip. Dropped of luggage at Bell desk and headed straight to the coffee shop and had the Southern Comfort breakfast. Scrabled eggs, peppers, onions and such over hash browns. Pretty good meal or I was just starving.

I then jumped in a cab and went to The Sportsbook at the Las Vegas Hotel hoping the WVU/Purdue game was on one of their tvs. Thank goodness it wasn't. Sounded like WVU didn't show up to play costing me $50 on the game and another $40 on a 2nd half wager. Pretty much just sat at the bar playing DDBP hitting quad Qs three times and 8s twice. Between The Sportsbook and TI Sportsbook I went 7-3 betting basketball Saturday. Wasn't enough to cover the VP loses for the day. Walked back to TI and checked into room 22008. Standard room close to the elevators. Thanks Joy! After unpacking I headed to the Breeze Bar for more DDBP. Quad Qs again before starting to finally catch some defferent quads. Started to think quad Qs and 8s was all I was going to see. I did stop in the players club and have them load my $200 in free play and use my entry for the Spin and Win promotion. The Spin to Win quaranteed atleast $50. I'm not sure the maximum amount you could win. $500 maybe? I ended up with $60 for a total of $260 free play. I ran that thru a $1 DDBP slant top back by the new Seafood Shack resteraunt that replaced Isla. I ended up with $230 in cash from the free play. Pretty much just stuck aroung TI the rest of the afternoon early evening downing miller lites, white russians and firefly and lemonade. Was BSing with a couple guys that were attending a gun or ammo show. Went up to the room around 7ish planning to clean up and head out on the strip. Sit down on the bed and next thing I know its 3:00am. oops! Day 1 ended up down $750 and only propositioned once. Looking back, I only ate breakfast that morning. Wow, now I am surprised how well I felt when I woke up Sunday morning. I'll post about the day 2 train wreck when I get a chance.

    Day 2 (Train Wreck)

Was cleaned up and back downstairs by 4am. Decided on the coffee shop again and opted for the cheeseburger and fries. It filled the void in the belly and then off to the Breeze Bar deciding to sit on the lounge side to chase the quarter progressive. I sat at the 3rd machine from the left side. This machine is directly in front of the opening for the bartenders to walk thru going from one side of the bar to the other. Just wanted to point this out because this machine seemed to be hitting quads pretty often. I ended up with quad 3s here plus quite a few other quads also. Recorded a $400 win after a few hours before deciding to go check out the lines in the sportsbook. TI didn't carry a line on one of the basketball games I was interested in so I crossed the street to the Palazzo and checked out Lagasso Stadium. Pretty nece place. Seemed like a cool place to watch a game. Sunday wasn't as good a day sports betting as the prior day. Basketball 0-1 and football 1-2-1. That pretty much wrapped up my sports betting for this trip other than a donation on the Pirates to win the National League pennant. ended up walking around Palazzo and Venetion before heading back to the Breeze Bar to find a seat for the SF/Atl game. I bet SF (push) and also the game under (loser). In the second game I had Baltimore (win) and also the game over (loser). By the time the second game started I was well on my way in the booze department. A little after halftime of the first game I figured I would head downtown and give myself time to grab a bite to eat prior to the VMB meet at MSS.

Decided to hit Chicago Brewing Co at the 4 Queens. Got the 10 inch pizza which was VERY tasty. Also slammed a few blonde ales keeping the train wreck to happen going full steam ahead. Made my way over to Boars Head Bar and ran into jasonargo, Dave and Judy. Had a very good time meeting up with these fine folks. Everytime I looked around jasonargo was running down a slot attendant to get another scratch off ticket. Maybe he needs to change his name jasonquad! Well, this is where the train really started to come off the tracks. I know we (me) had many rounds and I really couldn't tell you how long I was at the meet. I remember Dave and Judy heading somewhere and I believe I stuck around with jasonargo playing DDBP on the bar tops. At some point I decide I better get back close to home base while I still could. Caught a taxi at the Plaza and got back to TI in bad shape and heading down hill fast. Now, someone with any common sense would probabaly head up to the room and straighten up a little. Obviously, that doesn't include me, because apparently I thought it would be good time to play some BJ. I'm pretty sure I bought in for $200 on a $10 table. I also vagualy remember having some good luck and racking up to a nice stack of chips. I made it up to $50 a hand then $100 a hand. Then out of the blue, busto. At least I did have the sense to not rebuy and head to the room. I'm sure there was a few people that had a laugh on my account watching me try to make my way thru the casino to the elevators. Somehow I made. No idea what time it was. Next thing I know its 7:00am Monday. Not happening! Roll back over and eventually get up around 10:00am. Oh, the pain. Day 2 down another $450. Due to alcohol intake I can't remember if I was propostioned on this day. lol.

    Day 3 monday

Tried the TI buffet for breakfast. Tore up the watemelon and cantelope. Can't really mess up a breakfast buffet can you? After breakfast I decided to take a walk. Caught the TI to Mirage tram and headed that direction thinking I would stop at the Cosmo and play a little. Once I got there I just wasn't feeling Cosmo so I crossed the strip eventually stopping in the Planet Ho for my first beer of the day. My twenty actually lasted long enough to get 3 beers before busting out.

I think my next stop was at Ballys. Actually hung out at Ballys for quite a good while. Started on a slant top playing DDB over by the Keno lounge. The brunette waitress working that area was Johnny on the spot. Dropping off a new beer everytime she passed by with out me having to ask. You can't beat service like that. Then decided to check out some basketball lines in the sportsbook. Nothing caught my eye so I bellied up to the bar and Jimmy had a beer in front of me in no time. Hit quad Ks pretty quickly so settled in for a little while. On the right side of me was a guy and a couple women slow playing VP and just talking. Jimmy gets there order and proceeds to mix up some bloody marys right in front of me for my neighbors. For some reason these look good, so I ended up having a couple of them myself. SPICEY and good! On the left of me was a young couple and another guy. The girl was on the two guys trying to make them come up with some other activity to do instead of gambling all day. Shark Reef....guys were like no way saying two guys can't be caught together at an aquarium. Then I heard gun shop to shoot some guns but they balked at that also saying it was like $200 to shoot guns??? Then I hear zip line on Fremont. One of the guys is like "No way, zip lining is not for fat guys". LOL. It was fun listening to them go back and forth ribbing each other. I cashed out here with $50 and headed to Sully's. I played at Sully's for I know a good 2-2.5 hours getting into the white russians and miller lites. Now, I didn't hit a quad the whole time I sat at Sully's but played on the $50 I cashed out down at the sportsbook. Two straight flushes keep me in the game here. I ended up hitting 3 straight flushes this trip. Don't remember ever hitting that many in one trip. I hit the restroom at some point and when I got back someone sat down at the machine I was on so I just moved on. Hit the gift shop for a cheap pair of sunglasses thinking I lost the ones I brought from home the night of the train wreck. Actually ended up finding them wrapped up in my sweatshirt I was wearing that night.

I always like to stop in at the IP so I figured I would check out the changes. Played a Super X triple play machine by the back bar with no luck. Tried a bartop at the back bar dropping a quick $40. Next stop the Sushi Bar were Hector keep me company and supplied with drinks with very little wait. Slow played here BSing with Hector about all kinds of different subjects when I get dealt three to a royal. As you can see in the picture below the other two fill up and my royal drought at the quarter level is officially over. I believe my last one was at TI Breeze Bar in 2008. Hector offers to take a pic of me and my royal. Played here for a little longer and decided to head on back to TI after giving Hector a nice tip.

Back at TI I dropped $100 on the Super X triple play and $200 at BJ. Decided to try the new Seafood Shack and had the stuffed mushroom and a crab and mussel dish that turned out to be very good. The waitress recommended it saying everyone else that has had that dish enjoyed it. At this point I think it was 7ish so I head to the room to regroup. Took a little nap untill 11-11:30pm and got cleaned up and headed back out for a bit. Didn't really want to get into too much Monday night since I was flying out @ 4:30pm Tuesday. Decided to make a quick trip to Fremont and catch the last light show of the night. Made it with plenty of time to spare but was disappointed in the show. Was hoping it was going to be the Kiss show but ended up being the one about aliens. After the light show I stopped back in at the Chicago Brewing Co to play some bartops and have a few more blonde ales. After that it was about 1:30-2am and decided to head back to TI. Headed to my lucky bartop at the Breeze Bar and right off the bat got quad 3s no kicker. Well, that sweet sound the machine made racking up the credits attracted a couple bar flys. I was surrounded. One on each side. A couple hands later, bam quad 10s. Then another quad. At this point I've ran this machine up around $400. Unique and T had many suggestions for that money, but I resisted and headed to the room around 4ish for some rest.

Got up about 8am and stopped in the Players Club to apply comps and get a 2pm checkout. Back to the room to pack and rest a little more. Pretty much done with the gambling at that point. Around 11-11:30am walked over to the Fashion Show Mall and looked around. Nothing of interest so head back to TI and check out Senor Frog. Have a burrito (blah) and a couple more beers before getting dressed to head home. Had to bundle up since temp in PIT was 7 degrees. Flight was uneventful and was home and in bed around 2am. Fun trip. Enjoyed a ton of laughs with many people that I ran into over the four days I was in town. Can't wait to get back. Oh, sprinkled in all the VP was a couple sessions of 3 card poker and a roulette session but no big hits to mention.

Oh, almost forgot, I ended up spending $2,200 this trip. Royal helped me play a bunch more.

Sorry to bump old news, but something made me remember this ticket and wondered if I included it in the TR. $20 to win $1,250. Hope there isn't another post All Star break crash this year.

This was a really good TR. Can't believe no one commented! (Must've been posted during a Nate TRavaganza.)

Nice RF and good luck to your Pirates!
