MyVegas Did they change the per-hand VIP point cap in Blackjack?

For a long time, Blackjack awarded a max of 2500 VIP points per round regardless of how many hands you bet and how much you bet on each hand. So it never made sense to bet more than a single hand at 5k chips if you were trying to max out your VIP returns.

Now it seems as if this cap has been removed. I've bet as high at 30k/hand and always get 50% of that as VIP points (slots give 100%, but they, too, had a cap around 4k, I believe - not sure if this is still in place). I'm not sure if this is because I hit a level where they remove it, or whether it was removed for everyone.

Since blackjack has a low house edge, even with the relatively crappy rules offered here, this might be the best way to gain levels and the associated rewards for those who are willing to put in more effort than than just auto-spinning the slots.

 

I've been receiving the 1/2 bet to VIP pt ratio. BJ is bad for VIP pts, but great for VIP ones, and now that there are 500 levels, it's not too bad.

Also, there's a method that's let me get ALOT of chips.
Note: Only play 1 hand unless you have a good memory and LOTS of chips
1) Bet 1K
2) If you win, keep betting 1K
3) If you lose, double the bet.
Keep doubling until you win. If your seed bet is low, it would take 6-7 losses in a row before it wipes out your entire stack. The odds of that, with a low house advantage is low, from what I understand.
Why this won't work in Vegas is because of the max bet tables have that MyVegas doesn't. So you can't always double.

I'm at 1.75mill chips, so I play slots till I go to 1.5, and then use BJ to get back up to ~1.7. I also use a 5K 1st bet, but that's cause I have lots of chips.

Same here! I didn't notice what section this was posted in.

I personally think the BJ is a scam since i can win no problem at $1000 per hand but if i pump it up to $5000 or higher I always get crushed.

 

Remember that the most LP's per chip are attained when you are level 58 or lower, and even past level 58, the VIP points needed to get from level to level become greater and greater. The goal should be to maximize LP's per chip. Do this by staying under level 58 for as long as possible. If you're trying to gain LP's by quickly leveling, than you're missing out on A LOT of LP's.

 

So I just did that. Started with $500

$500 1st hand, blackjack
$500 2nd hand, win
$500 3rd, lost
$1000 4th, lost
$2000 5th, lost (doubled down)
$4000 6th, lost
$8000 7th, lost
$16,000 8th, lost
$32,000 9th, lost
$4200 10th all in, win
$8400 11th double up all in, dealt 19. Dealer showing a 6, dealer flips over a 7, draws and 8 for 21.

Blackjack sucks!

Bit of linkclump daily, bit of slots, collected from the strips on the hotel often. Damn, that's one heck of a losing streak. Sorry about that.
I've also noticed that playing risky works. Don't know why, but hitting on 13 doesn't bust as often as it should.

 

From what I've read betting 200 per spin is the sweet spot. I pretty much only play the bird game.

 

I'm 90 now, so it's a moot point for me.

 

BTW the point cap/hand for me at level 90 is around 13k, so bets larger than 26k chips will still only give 13k points.

Holy crap. I've been playing this method for awhile and I haven't hit that type of losing streak....

 

Chances of this happening are about 1 in 400. So it is actually not that rare if you consider how many progressions you go through.

 

Same thing happened to me from $500 to $256000, I have 12k left.

Please don't follow my advice. It works for me, but looks like it can eat all your chips.

 

A similar progression is to use the Fibonacci sequence.

1, 2, 3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89......

Next number is sum of last two. If you lose move up the progression. Win one go back one.. Win two in row start over at one (you wil have a profit for that run)

If you double and win go back to one.
If double and lose move up 2 in the seqquence

Bj, I go back 2 in the sequence.

This does not increase as dramatically as martingale and has a lower "risk of ruin"you win often... But long losing streaks can happen and remember no betting system actually changes the house edge.
