    Dear all,

I'm checking out the website of the Garden Court Buffet and wonder which day is best for dinner:

    Garden Court Buffet / Dinner 4:00pm -10:00pm

    Sunday, Monday and Wednesday ($10.99)
    Tuesday T-Bone Steak Special ($13.99)
    Thursday Steak & Scampi ($13.99)
    Friday Seafood Buffet ($21.99)
    Saturday Prime Rib Special ($13.99)

I'm wondering if I should go for the lowest price? Or are the specials worth the extra bucks?
    What is your experience?

    Thanks for your feedback!

Never tried their 'special' nights. Have tried the regular buffet several times; great value.

Thank you, pikabu! I'm thinking the same.

I should have actually added that I have already eaten there on a Thursday Steak & Scampi dinner.
I'm a big steak fan (and scampi as well), but I didn't enjoy it much at the buffet. I prefer steak at a steakhouse.
But for the same reason (big steak fan), I still kinda wonder (wishfull thinking?) if the T-bone or prime rib are good?

The last 2 times I went was on a Wednesday night and they were serving one of my favorites:
    Oxtail Soup.

    Thank you L1021!
I guess that's another vote for the regular buffet.

Since we think the food at Fremont tastes better, we wouldn't pay more than $10.99 for the MSS buffet.

I'm kinda with you Candy Apple. I've ate at MSS several times, but still prefer Fremont. However, haven't done MSS seafood nite yet and perhaps that may change my outlook.
Steak and prime rib night are okay, but the $10.99 standard buffet was just as doable.

I've only been to MSS twice, once for the champaign brunch which was excellent, and the prime rib night on Saturday. The prime rib seemed a little rubbery to me. Than again the entire buffet is a great value at 13.99 which would probably cost double on the strip. I probably would have enjoyed it more if my stomach wasn't still in knots from the worst turbulance I've ever experienced on the flight out!

Thanks all! I made up my mind, will go for the regular buffet and treat myself to a steak somewhere else.

Redwood or 2nd Street are good options for that steak or prime rib at reasonable prices.

We much prefer Friday's seafood night and will probably be pigging out on crab legs next week. If we didn't get comped we wouldn't bother; not that it isn't worth the money, but we're not about to get in the humungous line that usually develops. Like other Boyd/Coast properties, the steaks are no longer the quality they used to be, so we usually go elsewhere for our meat fix.

Try several feet away at "Triple 7 Brew Pub" for
    an excellent Prime Rib !
My wife ordered it.....I had a bite.
    .
I had Steak + Eggs at the Brew Pub, one early a.m.
    The steak was great.
So, I would guess their Steak Plate Dinner would be great, also.

    Thanks Joe & Joe!
I was already looking for a good and affordable steak place, so that comes in really handy!
Will go check-out the websites for the menus, love to torture myself a bit with the anticipation.
