Got an offer from CET for two free nights, free airfaire (minus $20 luggage fee), ground transportation. Offer also includes $99 dollars to bring a companion.

Offer is for Harrahs AC, guessing standard room.

Anyone do this junket? Opnions? How is it run. Harrahs a nice property? Heard CET replaced Allegiant with Republic Airways this year as their aircharter.

Harrahs AC is pretty top notch. The pool party is legendary if you are into that. Not as great as before from what I heard from a few devoted folks but it is a pretty good time. Also they are next to the Borgata so that is another major plus. Relative speaking much better than the one in Vegas. Funny how CET invests more into the AC property than the Vegas one.

Never did the junket thing since when I lived in the East Coast I was a two hour bus ride away and I got some pretty great weekly rates. From what you are getting sounds like you got a pretty good deal. I mean you even got your airfare covered as well plus ground transportation is thrown in. You must be some pretty important VIP or something. Best I ever got was $29 a night and $75 for food and that was for three nights.

Never did the junket but I have been to Harrahs AC and its really nice. Much larger than anything in Vegas and their giant indoor pool is really nice. Great foodcourt and HUGE casino. Its just on an island. To get to the Borg you have to take a cab, or run across a giant field and make your own way there. And you are removed from all the other casinos on the boardwalk, and the free shuttle is slow and always packed. The Jitneys fill up fast as well. If you like to stay in one place and gamble this is a great deal, but than again I'm an AC fan.

    We were there last weekend

Stay there often ,not the top hotel in AC ,but not the worst. Winter is the slow season obviously for the beach but you can hang by the pool during the day and you almost think youre in the tropics. Theres plenty of restaurant options there and some good bar happy hours esp. during the week. We didnt have any trouble with the free shuttles during the day anyhow. You can share a cab to the boardwalk also if you can find another couple maybe cost you $8 incl. tip .It's maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the Golden Nugget ,not far. Theres a website called Atlantic City Weekly and another called Atlantic City (or ac) Insider. Good info.

Yeah the offer is better then anything I have gotten recently, and since I have started low playing CET in Q1, I want to suck as much marrow off the bone.

Looks like I may cancel the SB trip, and pack the wife out to AC for the weekend.
    Thanks for the feedback.

What are some of the other AC props like. Wife will want to shop and hit the Spa, so thinking of setting her up at Qua at CP while I gamble on Sunday.

The borg is a 5 dollar cab ride next door.... dont try and go through the field... trust me on that LOL

Enjoy your stay... AC is hurting bad for people....

We go once a month and will be there this weekend. It's a beautiful place, and certainly the best of the CET props in AC, hands down. You won't need or want to go to another hotel, so don't worry about not being near the boardwalk, especially in the winter. Borgata is a short ride away, but really, you will love Harrahs AC and you'll probably not want to leave. The drinks come very readily, and you order them right from your slot or VP machine. The pool is great and opens early, and parties late. The food court or Bill's burgers will allow you to enjoy a cheap meal, or you can eat big at Luke Paladino's or a couple of other places. They have a sit down mid prices restaurant in Sammy's.

They have 5 towers. Don't stay in the Harbor. Then it goes from nice to nicest, Marina, Atrium, Bayview, Waterfront. Bayview and Waterfront are near the pool and a good walk from the casino, have the nicest rooms and a $20 at checkin could get you into those towers.

They have a nice poker room, a keno lounge (only one in AC), thousands of VP, thousands of penny slots, and a ton of tables usually $5 and $10 (pai gow and Bacc are higher), including Utl.tex holdem, bonus holdem, Miss stud, lots of 3 card poker and blackjack, Roulette with rapid roulette($5), even Double Attack Blackjack which is very rare to see in any casino. A very wide range of table games, with competent dealers and bosses.

And the place is beautiful. It's not elegant like Borgata, but it's nice, clean, and in great shape, and offers everything.

    Enjoy

Beeejay I met one of them in Vegas at the bugsy bar last year, and she was fugly. However she had a certain moral ambiguity which made her a better value then the 40 bucks I would burn at 7/5 VP tables. Now I could take the wife to AC and reset the Vegas trip counter ensuring that I lock in Two Vegas trips by May.

The rub is the wife will spend more shopping and at Spa then I lose gambling. Doomed money.

However between the Funkhouser Good Humour truck pulling in a pants load this summer and 7k still stashed away from Oct even after a crushing Dec trip, I gotta do some serious ciphering to see which is the lower loss average. The pushups were a little soft last summer so I need to hold back some of the cash to replace the Frigadidere in the ice cream truck.

I like all AC props except Tropicana and Hilton. It's a bit too cold for me for AC in the Winter.
