Table Games Craps tables

Has anyone found a Vegas casino where the tables always seemed cold, and the excitement at the table was non existent? Seems like every time I've played at 4 queens this has been the case.. Probably just me but its a killer.

 

Seems like this for me every time I'm at the Venetian. The cold dealers there don't help matters much either. (I do not see the same coldness from the Palazzo craps tables though.)

 

MGM for me.

 

Aria. But since I mostly play the don't, it has become one of my favorite places for craps

 

Never came across a constantly cold table but it does vary.

Lets just say I haven't come across a table where I didn't want to play at some time.

 

I've never won at Paris. I like their pit and its location, but I've never won there. Not once. Always seems the pit is loaded with a bunch of Debbie-downers...

 

The Mirage for me.

 

Luxor and NYNY for me. As a pass line/ come bettor, with odds, a choppy table is an absolute annilator. For some reason Binions and the Mirage are awesome. As an add on I once lost 17 consecutive bets at The Westward Ho playing perfect basic strategy in BJ. After a few doubles and splits and betting only nickels my loss for that session was well over a c-note. Not terrible, but something like that definitely takes the spring out of ones step.......at least I was not martingaling it or it would have been a royal disaster......

 

The solution to this problem is to play craps at Casino Royale!

Some record losses in short periods:

In New Mexico, $1650 down in 15 minutes at BJ, 6-decks. Count through the roof, $200 per hand, dealer hit 20 or 21 every damn time, I busted 12s, 13s and 14s nearly every time. Only got through 3/4 of one shoe.

Planet Hollywood, $1490 down in 15 minutes, 2-decks so bets up and down from $25 to $150, every double-down lost.

Bally's, $1320 down in 20 minutes at BJ 2-deck, same basic story.

Max loss in any one session, $1890 in Mississippi, took 95 minutes, 6-decks, bets from $10 to $150. Nearly every increased bet loses.

Tell the dealer "The only thing good about this is that I can afford it."

 

Treasure Island, 100% of the time. That goes for their blackjack tables, too. It's gotten to the point where I absolutely refuse to step foot in that place because it's such bad luck.

 

I like playing at the El Cortez, but I can never seem to get on a good streak. By the looks of the other players, neither can they.

My favorite is the Golden Nugget. I mostly play there since I'm comped there. Second favorite play to play is MSS.

 

Binions is always fun and their dealers have always seemed to have a good time

 

My last two trips were like this:

Flamingo- bad. Seven out before point 7-8 times in a row.
Bellagio- lets just say I paid for some water used in the fountain show. Great table vibe, just a bad run.
Wynn- decent vibe but dealers were babying a guy who had NO earthly idea what he was doing, ie letting him place bets when i had dice in hand. He put his hands in the path of the dice so many times i started to deliberately take my sweet assed time setting the dice. Won a good bit & tipped the dealers, but damn I was annoyed.
TI- quiet table but left up a few $.
Cosmopolitan- stuffy, uppity dealers. Table was waaay too bouncy.
IP- the 9th circle of hell. Funeral type vibe, table was in dire need of repair (rails/ pads cracked, torn, split...)
Mirage- good location, decent vibe
Paris- decent atmosphere, but dealers didnt grandfather players when tale minimums went up.
PHo- good good good
Aria- extremely friendly dealers. The second time around i was in a haze so...

 

I was going to say, unlike most other games you are able to play either way at craps. If the tables are all THAT consistently COLD then just play wrong and reap the rewards. I think what will really happen is that you'll see they are choppy like anywhere else. Not winning is not the same thing as "winning the other way", IOW.

I used to play both ways at craps. I'd "case" the shooters around the table and those that threw consistently ( lobbed and tried to hit the same spot etc. and bet only low vig bets, IOW played like I do ) I'd play with and those that did the ( roll haphazardly down the center ) I'd play against(unless it was a newbie hot blonde babe - always with them hahaha). Not because I believe in setting or precision etc. but just that I tended to see longer rolls by consistent shooters, in general.

But I found that playing the dark side against anyone would incurr the wrath of some or many of the players and since I play for fun it pretty much sapped any enjoyment from the game. So now I just "skip" the ones I used to bet darkside against, or play only one number on any I'm unsure of. That way they don't build up animosity and I just play a lot less rolls as a result - which is conducive to longer sessions and still being there for any hot rolls.

 

The worst luck I've had was at NYNY I went twice with a buddy on two separate days and that place was ridiculous we lost no matter which way we bet it was insane.

The best for me is Aria, the craps dealers are awesome there, very nice. I highly recommend them for a beginner too, I saw many beginners at Aria and the dealers are always welcoming and very informative. They give good tips to them about pass line odds and all. I was also on my biggest hot steak at Aria of all time, I rolled for a solid 30 minutes....it was the heater of a life time....table was full too so I felt like a celebrity especially with the players tipping me haha.

 

As previously noted by another poster, MGM has always been so cold for me that I no longer play craps there.

Bill's, Paris, Bally's and NY/NY have been positive experiences for me.

 

Bellagio has always been cold for me.Mostly snooty craps dealers don't help.
I like MGM but have not had much luck there.
Paris,dead casino with no vibe.
Wynn,great casino but crushed there every time I played.

Aria good vibe on the dice tables.
Rio,Had a one hour roll at dice there years ago.Lot's of changes there but still stop every now and then for a dice run.
Binion's is not what it was but still one of my favorite craps spots.

 

the tables at casino royale seem like trampolines i cant keep the bones on the table
