Agreed. I also would like to know. I have two trips booked before April 1st. I would also like to know if this goes into effect right away.

I spoke to my host at Caesars today, she said the bonus perks are currently in effect. :nworthy:

Question for the number cruncher experts. In theory, playing slots only, how much of a bankroll would one need to accumulate 2,500 TC's in a single gaming day?

You know nobody here can even start to answer that. Unless we knew which game you played, how long you usually play, what your normal betting patterns are.

And, even knowing all that, it would vary WIDELY depending on how your play goes on the next trip. Sometimes we keep winning, even if a little, and it allows the bankroll to last longer. Other times, you are on a bad roll, play, machine and it gets sucked right out of you.

Bottom line - you probably know what you normal point days are, right?

No kidding. I would take my extra bankroll down to Horseshoe Southern Indiana where they have fullpay Bonus Deluxe (99.67% payback) and hit diamond in 2 days if that 5,000 bonus thing is kicked in now. 2,500 points + 5,000 bonus tier = 7,500 * days = 15,000. bada bing bada boom.

then I could be back in the diamond lounge with the pretty Canadians!

Seems like the most efficient approach now would be to do two of the 2,500 point days (with 5,000 bonus tier pts), making it just a little less than 2 of the old DIAD runs. When I did DIAD I thought $3,000 was a decent estimate of the amount required on full pay JOB if things went poorly. So maybe $5,000?

I think it could be far less and far more predictable if you live in a market that has a full-pay hundred play VP machine, I think some of the non-Vegas NV markets had those in the past and they were identified as optimal for earning DIAD.

CET raises tier score requirements to upgrade card

Just read on another board (thanks susie53) that Caesar's Entertainment has raised the amount of tier credits required to upgrade to Platinum (5.000), Diamond (15,000) and Seven Stars (150,000). This is actually pretty good news to me because I've been a low Diamond for years but find I'm spending more than I should getting that last few thousand points to make Diamond for the following year.

Almost no difference in 14 between gold and Platinum. No checkin or resturant line advanage anymore.

If I recall, CET's old website info also said that Platinum didn't have priority check in/buffet line skip but those perks still existed in Vegas. Hope it continues there.

I know this might sound like a dumb question but is it confirmed that the bonus TC that you get actually count towards the requirement of moving up a tier?

That's what I recall as well. In ACY having Platinum pretty much was worthless, but Vegas offered the front of the line perks. I hope it continues in Vegas.

I started to paste from my email, but see that it is all on their website now.

    Look here

BUT.... somebody explain this example. The math does not work for me.

    ................................ Tier Score ....... 11,500
    + 10 days of earning 2,500 Tier Credits ......+ 1,250
    + 3 days of earning 2,500 Tier Credits .......+ 3,000
    + 1 days earning a 5,000 Tier Credit bonus + 5,000
New Tier Score with bonuses =.............. 20,750 (Diamond)

If you have 10 days of 2,500, how do you only get 1,250? Maybe I am too slow.

No, you are not slow......but I think it's just typos at their end. The "10 days" in your example reflects a tier score bonus based on earning 500 tier credits with 125 bonus x 10 = 1,250.

From the horses mouth, official mailing on new CET Tiers

Okay, well I received my mailing and i am scratching my head at the fine print.
So the bonus tiers kick in right away, and the new super diamond levels (2,3) are there.

But on the new benefits they say, Diamond tier two get "4 free comp nights", so I am wondering if CET is re-evaluating the whole up front room comps or if this is like the 7 Star annual trip thing.

Under the new system, and my evaluated play I still don't make 7 star, :grrr: but I get diamond level 3. Which the only tangiable benefit I see is free airfare and companion card. If that means I can bring extra friends in the diamond lounge in vegas, then thats a perk since the wife doesnt gamble and I like to hang in vegas with friends / spouses. :licklips:

I am wondering how the whole program change will effect the upfront comp. Basically I see this as an opportunity for CET to flood the program with low level diamonds, basically de-valuing the tier status. If the cage line, buffet lines, and diamond lounges fill up, then the benefit is worth nil to me, Add more people doing two heavy play days and possibly room offers reduced based on availbility.

It seems on the surface that 7 star is the way to go, if you plan to stay in the CET system, otherwise move over to a smaller join where you can enjoy more personal service from a host relationship.

I have never come close to getting Diamond level. I go out to Vegas maybe once a year. I used to go to my somewhat local casino several times a year but they have stopped sending me offers, and I have stopped going. I read all of the new things with the Platinum, and I can say it has either not started yet, or Casinos are still free to offer comps that they want. With my Platinum, I booked another offer for Planet Hollywood for 2 days and they are giving me $550 freeroll. I can still get comped rooms for 5 nights at any property, and up to Augustus tower at Caesars, and everything below suites at the other properties. There are also many offers for slot tourneys, drawings, etc. The $550 offer I booked was exclusive to Planet Hollywood where I have stayed my last 2 trips, but there was another offer for $550 gift card to forum shops or miracle mile.

I am just saying I wouldn't freak out when reading the benefits on the site, as Hotels seem able to do what they want to get you out and playing. My style of play I will hit 2500 tier credits in a day, but I normally do that one day on my trip and the others slow down after the degeneracy ends.

I know this hurts a lot for some, for me I couldn't be happier. I hit Vegas 3 times a year, maybe a night or two at a local joint (I don't have one within 2 hours). I have been at about 700 tier credits a day in Vegas each trip, these bonuses should help a infrequent visitor like myself....

Couple things: The tier perks on the website only reflect nationwide benefits. They stopped showing property wide perks when they redesigned the website last year. The special check in lines for Platinum and any other line privileges for Platinums were VEGAS property specific. Show tickets are another perk and that isn't listed at all. Other markets do have minor perks for higher tiers as well not covered by that list. Just because it is not listed on the web doesn't mean it has disappeared. I wouldn't panic yet. I would anticipate the check in lines to continue but the restaurant line thing was always kinda shaky and may fade out. But they shouldn't change anything before April anyway.

I disagree on this. When I was a Diamond, I made it by making a ton of small visits chipping at it at a hundred or so points at a time. There are lots of players like that who regularly visit the local casinos nationwide. They aren't going to make the new quota that way and they aren't going to play enough in a day to get bonus points to help them over the hump. There are going to be a shitload of Platinums now and Diamond is going to be more exclusive. Diamonds will be people who could easily earn the 11K in less than a year under the old program. And because of this, I hope you guys demand more out the DLs. Since the people who just earned Diamond so they can eat free in the lounges a few times a week at the local casinos and who used to bum rush the lounges in Vegas when the hot food came out are getting shut out, there is no reason to not serve more food in there now.

I am more concerned about what happens to Platinum. If they do take any Vegas privileges away, I don't know if I will even bother with it. I don't enjoy the local CET outposts as much anymore and I would probably be better served not spreading my play around so much if Platinum is degraded. I am betting that some of the Diamonds about to be frozen out feel the same way.
