I was wondering if there was anyway I could make a bet either online or over the phone at one of the Vegas casinos?

I would like to bet on the Viking-Packer game on Saturday and would be able to pick up my winnings when I'm in Vegas in Feb., but from what I've read this isn't possible?

    Any other ideas?

Can't place a bet over the phone with a vegas sportsbook. You can either place a bet with a non-vegas casino online site, gte a vegas runner to place bets for you, or just find a local bookie

That's what I was afraid of hearing I was just hoping there was an easy/not sketchy way of going about it. I will just have to wait til Feb and can place a few different bets.

unfortunately horse betting is the only legal online betting I have found. I dont get why betting the ponies is ok but laying a bet on a football or baseball game isnt. I beleive online poker isnt even completely legit as popular as it is, but there might be loopholes. Another thing that doesnt make sense if the Fantasy football weekly pools you can play online that are legal because its considered a "game of chance" and not gambling.

I have friends that have used the online sites that have a homebase outside of the USA, but there have been occasions where the account was locked out or they couldnt get their money.... so taking the risk is up to you.

Even if you get your money it can take weeks, sometimes 4-6, for the payment to clear.

My winnings, when there are any:poke: can be wired directly to my bank. The name has no indication that it is gambling winnings so nobody is the wiser.

Plus, depending on who you bet on the Packers-Vikings game you may not have been collecting anyways in Feb.

    Go Pack.

I miss those good old days of betting on line in my bathrobe on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
Bodog and The Greek were the 2 sporstbooks I had accounts in.
    Bodog is now Bovada
The greek AKA Olympic Sportsbook transfered my remaining balance to Heritage Sports
    Bovada does take Visa
There may be additional fees for Visa deposit
Heritage does not take credit cards
