so I made Diamond level at CET, and am wondering about all the diamond lounges. Not just vegas but Tunica and any where else you want to tell me about! Thanks in advance for any information.

I've only went to Vegas Diamond lounges a few times. They are free. Basically they have some finger food depending in the casino and free drinks.
Food is usually available at 4PM. You can bring one guest. I generally go to the Atlantic City Diamond lounges. They are much better than the Vegas Lounges. However, if you're not at the 25,000 point tier level this or a previous year it will cost you 1,000 reward credits - $10 (I believe per person), here you are also allowed 1 guest. Here they have free drinks and a buffet which includes three hot entrees, various pre-made sandwiches, soup, salads and desserts. While nothing fancy, but it's OK food. Considering it's $10 or free if you have the points a pretty good deal. It usually opens at 2PM during the week and noon on the weekends. Some people don't eat lunch at the regular dining places that will eat here. Seven Stars can bring 3 guests. There are two Seven Stars lounges in AC - one at Harrah's and one at Caesars. I've never been so I'm not sure what they're like. Congrats on making Diamond.

    sounds like a deal.

gambling 50k to eat a $10 bologna sandwich.

am i missing something here or would it be a better deal to just buy my own sandwich elsewhere?

I went to the one at Harrahs Metropolis, my home base. They didn't have premium liquors or decent wine. I was disappointed. so hoping there are better ones!

Most certainly missing something. Some people enjoy gambling. Some people enjoy gambling more $$$ than other people. Those people enjoy getting comp stuff. The Diamond Lounge is nice comp stuff.

In Vegas, you get premium liquor for free and most have free internet terminals. It's a great place to lounge and have a drink. Outside of Vegas, it varies. In Illinois, no free alcohol allowed but the drinks in the DL are cheap. Plus they have a small, one entree buffet. Some folks plan their weeks around the Diamond lounge schedule.

Sabrina, the ones in LV have cut back drastically in the last few years. At one time, they had 2-3 hot items...queso, chili, meatballs, etc starting at about 4pm. Now they have small wings and maybe some heats-of-palm croquets or such along with dips / chips / cookies & small plain deserts. Nothing to make a trip for but the drinks are much better than on the casino floor. All is free for just tipping the waiter. We've been to Paris / Flamingo / Rio / Harrah's - not sure if ever made it to PH or Caesars but we only go to relax / use free WiFi & drink some very well made drinks. At our home casino, Horseshoe So IN - hot food comes out at 6pm and there is 1 meat at the carving station along with a couple veggies / rolls & real butter :) / fruit / cheese & crackers. Tuesday & Thursday is the free liquor from 7-9pm. They do offer the high end liqour too...

The tunica one is nice. On par with some of the better ones in vegas except Caesars.

Cousineddie-- you're right if someone actually got diamond just for the lounge access. But that holds for any comp from as little as a free drink to as big as a private jet-- gambling FOR them isn't worth it at all. But getting them FOR your gambling is nice. Just like any rewards program-- it only makes sense if you we're gonna do it anyway.

Tunica - one at Horseshow and at Harrahs.

Longer hours than Vegas, but less food most of the time. Getting old (memory), but I think weekends are till 12. Free drinks. Light snacks. Horseshoe one is very nice, right off the high limit area.

I've been to every diamond lounge with the exception of Caesars Windsor, Harrahs Philly/ New Orleans, Horseshoe Cleveland, and Caesars AC (perhaps the DL at Showboat and Ballys if they exist, I've done little more than just walk thru those properties).

The best DL I would say is Harrahs AC because of the buffet. It sucks if you have not made it to 25k tier but even at $10 it's a good deal.

A very close second would be the horseshoe in council bluffs. They have the best hours and have hot food in there all day. The best chicken pot pie I've ever had in my life was here. Overall the DL in the Horseshoe properties (Council Bluffs, Chicago, Tunica, Bosier City) are nicer than the Harrahs branded properties...then again the Horseshoe brand is higher end than Harrahs.

In Vegas Caesars and PH are the best. It's hard to beat the 100" TV at the PH DL for football games.

Other than that the rest are pretty standard with the exception of the AK-Chin outside of Phoenix. When you go in they give you 4 drink coupons and 1 appetizer coupon. That's the limit. The drinks are quite large so 2 per person is enough.

One. Pretty basic, but right on the water, with an outside patio. They used to do little sandwich things, chips and soup.

They do finger foods there. The hot dogs I had there a few months back were pretty damn good.

Taking a "tour bus" from CLE to Windsor for the day and was wondering if anyone has been to the Diamond Lounge there?I am currently Platinum Status and have 49,000 RC's. If I were allowed to pay to get in, just curious on what I should/could/could not expect. Thanks.

mdm4sfest, I don't think you can pay to enter a Diamond lounge if you do not have Diamond status.

I have been to all of the lounges in Vegas and my favourites are at Caesars and Paris. Harrah's is ok but is really dark, and Planet Hollywood is separate rooms so a little weird but great if you want to watch a sports game.

The lounge at the Rio is ok and looks over the pool and the Flamingo's is just ok.

The drinks are good in all of them but service can be spotty at the Paris as it gets packed in there.

Thanks for the info. I saw someone post this on Trip Advisor so I thought I would ask.

"Around 4 we decided to go check out this new Diamond Lounge. Caesars Windsor has always had a Diamond Lounge, but you used to have to have over 50,000 tier points to walk in the door....so I have never set foot in it.

NOW...with this new Diamond Lounge they built in the basement all Diamonds can go in, but if you are under 25,000 you have to pay $10 a head. When I approached the desk I was trying to pay as I don't have 25,000 points, however apparently I made that level LAST YEAR...so they refused to take my money! LOL

I have heard other people describe what the Diamond Lounges are like in Atlantic City and it seems we are the same as they are now.
I was shocked to see an entire mini buffet spread out before me!!
The line started with soup (one choice--- Saturday it was cream of chicken with big chunks of chicken in it! Yummy!)) salads, buns, sliced meats, sliced cheese, egg salad...everything you need to make a sandwich. The next station was hot food--Chicken Cacciatore, pasta, vegetables. Then a fruit and dessert station. This is a wonderful new perk! Sure hope it lasts!
We were thrilled to have this tasty meal for free."

I have had some of my greatest times in the Diamond Lounge in Las Vegas. I think Jesica and Richard at the Caesars diamond lounge are a blast. The food is just to sop up some of the alcohol. It is the drinks that bring me in. The drinks are great. Harrahs diamond Lounge makes the best Long Island Ice Tea that I have ever had. Just don't drink three of them unless you want security to give you time out. I have met some great people there too. I have not been to any DL outside of Las Vegas. Las Vegas is closest to me. No need to go anywhere else.

I see where the confusion is. They are talking about tier credits not RC's. In other cities, if you don't have at least 25,000 tier credits you have to pay 1000 RC's to enter but in Vegas as long as you are Diamond (11,000 tier credits last year, 15,000 this year) you can get in for free. On the plus side, I found it a bit easier to make Diamond now because they give bonus tier credits.
