For the second time in 3 years, my wife was dealt a Royal. This time machine #7 at MSS.

She is starting to leave me in the dust in the Royal race. She now has 25, I have 16 but I haven't had one since March 2010. She has had 4 in that same time.

In case you're wondering with a dealt Royal, the machine locks up. No need to hold the cards.

Dealt or draw to it. @#$^@&@$%&

Over the past few years, my wife has hit 4 times. She plays about a 3rd of wht I do, and I have hit once.

She plays $.25 most of the time. I play at least $1.25, sometimes $5.

No, dealt! All 5 of those Diamonds came up on the first hand and so did the Jackpot sign. $1080.50 on a quarter progressive.

Way to go, Mrs. Joe! My wife hit her first two RF's ever at Ho Chunk last week. I hope she can repeat in Vegas in 3 weeks!

Awesome! Video poker is all I play. Jacks or better is my fave but also enjoy blackjack. I prefer playing on the machines that are at the bars. I play most often at Monte Carlo, Harrah's and Mandalay. That said, I've never been very lucky and usually play $1.25. Where are your favorite machines??

Our favorite machines are the ones that pay out!:poke:
But seriously, we play almost exclusively downtown at Main Street, The Cal & Four Queens.

That's amazing. I've had two Royals that started with 4 of them dealt to me...I think it was on the same trip. But having a Royal dealt to you twice ....seems impossible.
I'm curious - How do you keep track of all your Royals? Do you just have a great memory? I think I've had 7 of them in about 4 years but I don't know for sure. I'm going to have to think about this now. I know I haven't had 25 like your wife. Good for her.
I sat next to a woman last week who had a Royal followed by a 4OAK with a kicker within the next 5 minutes. I was losing that trip so had to envy her a lot.

    Engineering/geek background. I have a spreadsheet.
She also had two in October on the same trip. One before lunch, one after. Both within two hours.

Great; keep going with the royals. Question if you hit a rf with a draw, can you play more hands without waiting for it to finish its song and dance.

The machine locks up when dealt a royal.

It depends on where you are playing. Main Street must give you a hand pay even for $1,000, so the machine locks up and the music plays.

At Suncoast, you can cash out, or just keep playing as long as the jackpot was under $1,199. If you keep playing, every time you go over $1,199, it spits out a ticket for the amount over the $1,199 threshold.

A few years ago, I was playing a nickel Multi-Strike VP machine. I got up to the 4th line, which paid 8x the win. The dealt hand was junk, so I threw away all 5 cards. AND, the new cards I received were a ROYAL. $1600.00. That was fun!

Have only been dealt a Royal one time, I didn't know the machine would lock up, and was never so nervous thinking about holding the cards and not pushing deal before they were all held!
