We are going to Vegas in May and we have been really wanting to stay at the Flamingo in a Go room with a view. Today I found a deal for $80/day for three nights. It's fully refundable in case a better deal comes along but it would have to be an irresistable deal to get us away from Flamingo--we've always wanted to stay there for the location and the old-Vegasy feel. Any opinions as to whether this is a good deal? Any tips for getting a better one?

If the fab room at the flamingo are cheaper than 50$/day book those and a week or so before your trip they will sent you an email to upgrade to go room for 20$ a night or go strip view for 30$ a night

All dependent on occupancy levels if you get the offer. Also, if you didn't book thru the TR website, they may not have your info to send you the offer.

If you don't mind sharing your dates, go ahead & book since it is refundable and possibly we can help you with some better rate codes.

If not already a Total Rewards member, I recommend going on to the TR site and signing up and logging in to see what they are offering as a price for the dates you'll be in town. Members with little standing and even new members still can sometimes score a good price. Probably at least worth the few minutes to look into it.

    Hey thanks y'all!

I did book directly through the Flamingo site, got a "friends and family rate" that I found the code for on another site that I can't remember right now. I tried signing up for the Total Rewards but it wouldn't let me, I may have already been signed up from my previous trips but couldn't remember the password. I think my husband knows his though, so maybe we'll keep trying under his rewards number.

It is refundable which is great, so I will keep looking. But I'm getting the feeling that this is really not such a bad price for what it is. I'm always jealous of hearing about $10 rooms, but I don't gamble enough for comps, and we DO spend a good bit of time in our room, especially if we have a view, so we want something really really nice.

We're going from May 11-15. Our first night is a Saturday and we get in around 10PM, so we'll prob find something off-strip that's much cheaper for that one night. (Everything is SO expensive Saturday night.) I'll keep looking at the prices at the Flamingo though, even if it's not a fantastic room. Or maybe even IP! I do appreciate the absurd.......

Thanks so much for all the help!

    Hotel codes!

Oh by the way, I found the codes at smartervegas.com. Great site! I'm checking around for a Saturday Night hotel and finding strip hotels on Saturday night for $100 and less. Wooohoo!!!!

Definitely check out the Total Rewards site once you can get logged in regardless of how much you gamble. My brother brought $600 for his total expenses (gamble, eat, drink, and a show) for his first trip. When looking at rooms for his second trip he still had offers from the Flamingo, Harrahs, Ballys for around $20-30 a night, IP/Quad for $10-15, Paris, PH for about $80. So definitely worth looking into even if you don't gamble a ton CET seems to take care of room comps better than the others. Myself I bring about $2500 for 4 days and plays $25 Blackjack and Pai Gow and always have room comps at all CET properties pretty much any time with CP being the exception on some weekends.

That seems like a good deal to me! Not my favorite joint, but the GO rooms are nice, and if you want the old Vegas feel, I think you are getting exactly what you want at a good price.

and no resort fee is nice...

Just got back from a stay in a GO room, 27th floor with perfect view of Bellagio fountains. $31.50 a night plus tax. Immediate check-in with no issues, coffee pot in room and cool shower separate from the tub. Enjoyable!

I'll be going back to Vegas in June. Was going to stay at Bill's again but thats no longer an option.I was thinking about trying the Flamingo. What do you think about the Flamingo? Fab deluxe double queen room would be $570 for 6 nights.Whats the difference between the Go room?I'm at a loss of where to stay this time.I'm not looking for anything too fancy or expensive...but something clean and enjoyable on the strip would be good.

$570 for 6 nights? Do you have a TR Card? For May 11-15 i'm showing $66.40 for the first night (Sat) and Comps for the other dates. So it breaks down to about $12.50 per night for the Fab Deluxe Queen. I'm showing sold out for the GO room, however, get the Fab Deluxe for the price i mentioned and do the $20 trick for a Go Room with a Strip View.

I'm pretty sure I'll be going June 5th-11th. I have player cards from lots of casino's...bills,ballys,rio,palazzo,bellagio ect. Is The TR card different? The 20 dollar trick thing really works? I'd feel so embarrassed if the person checking me in looked at me like my cheese had slid off my cracker.

Sorry, meant to post it to the OP. But i'm showing for June 5-11 $66.40 for Friday and Saturday, and Comps for the other days for the Fab Deluxe. The Bally's card (the TR) is for all the Caesar's properties, but NO resort fee. TaDaaa!
The $20 trick is for people who want a Strip view (yes, many times it does work), however, i never use the "Trick".......i just tell them i want a higher floor. I've stayed at Bally's, Paris, Planet Hollywood, and the Quad, always got a high floor facing the Strip or partial Strip view with no extra money out of my pocket.

Unless you got them many, many years ago, you do not have players cards from Rio, or Ballys, or Bellagio. They do not exist. for Rio or Ballys, you might have a Total Rewards card. For Bellagio, you should have a Mlife card, unless over a year or two, then a Players Club or something like that.

I was looking at getting a room for Feb 22-24th(Fri & Sat.). I was going to use a promo code for the flamingo that I found on SmarterVegas.com, it was 30% off. I just signed up for a TR membership and the price was way cheaper booking with that membership card. I got the 2 nights: Fri-$42.40 & Sat - $44.80. Way better deal than I could have gotten anywhere else. Also the Quad was like $10.50 a night. After reading horrible reviews online I'll pass on staying there, even if it was $25 after taxes for the weekend.

    Thanks for the TR Advise!
