Are you smarter than a slot attendant and a tech?

I'll bet a lot of you are.
    So here's the quiz;
A few weeks back we're at Caesars AC ,Mrs. is playing VP,I'm sitting at machine next to her trying to get it to accept a 20. No dice so I walked around and grabbed an attendant,he pulled the cover ,checked out the machine and was baffled so he called a tech with tools. He did the same thing ,still not working when finally he figured out the problem.
So what was the simple answer?

    • Full
    • Reader not updated for newer bills
    • Reader was gunked up
    • Machine was out of TITOs
    • The bill had some marking on it (or tape) in a bad place

You would think an attendant or a tech would be able to spot any of those without much mystery.

    ?????????????

I just put the $20 in another machine, and get the ticket, then I go back to the machine I want to play, and it accepts the ticket all the time. Problem solved.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.

I'll be curious what the solution actually was. I've already been on a machine and they just swapped out the bill reader.

    We have a winner!!

the last guy who played the machine left in the middle of a hand. Must have been his last 50 cents. I finished the hand and lost.
    Congradulations and thanks for playing.

We had a machine at the Venetian last week that wouldn't take bills, the attendant said that machine only takes tickets. It's marked for bills, the matching machine right next to it takes bills. Lazy?

As a slot tech, that's the 1st thing I look for. Another big one is when someone is playing keno and gets in a bonus round they will change the number of picks, it will make the machine seem froze, you can change numbers but not the amount of picks. I see some crazy stuff.

For the record my guess would have been the same as Fafa2e. - Players Card.

The first time I went to Atl City I kept trying to put my $1 bills in a machine.
Finally I went to the cage to exchange them for newer bills.
I was embarrassed to find out that the slots only excepted $5 Bills or higher.

Sorry, casino employees and their familes are not elijable for the grand prize

I was hoping to see if some non casino professional would figure it out. This was the 2nd time this happened to me,I was drunk the first time so I have an excuse for not remembering it.And room keys wont work in the players card slot and players cards wont open room doors no matter how many I try
