Here's a new one. I've never had a problem before booking an offer and then getting tickets comped to shows, too.

I have an offer for a piddly amount of freeplay ($250) and an even more pathetic amount of F&B ($75), along with 3 nights at ARIA.

On past offers, they always throw in tickets to a show or a concert with no problem.

This time, here's the canned response I got:
"I cannot add the promotion with FREE PLAY and request the ticket for the concert. Which would you prefer? It has always been the policy as concerts are considered special events and cannot be used together with promotions."

In the recent past, I've booked freeplay offers AND comp concert tickets during the same stay.

That sucks. Is this coming from an actual host or whoever answered the phone at VIP?

You've got to give mlife credit, at least they have been smart enough to slowly roll out the fact that they now suck, rather than doing it all at once and losing all their customers in one fell swoop.

The moment I returned from one of my highest playing Bellagio trips ever and next quarter offers came as $109 when I was expecting to possibly be upped to suites, I knew these guys had lost it.

    D-O-N-E

    Done with mlife.

I'll be waiting patiently any where else for the rest to get screwed over and join me.

It's from the host I book all my trips through.

And on 3 separate trips this year I was given freeplay, food and beverage AND ticket comps.

I wrote her right back with the proof...saying on these 3 trips earlier this year, you comped me freeplay, f&b and tickets. One trip, I had $700 freeplay, $300 food and beverage, a flyback voucher AND a 2nd row seat to KISS and Motley Crue!

She told me to call her, so I'm about to do that.

Well my problem is I don't get any decent offers anywhere else except mlife properties. I play a couples hours at Cosmo or harrahs and it means nothing. I'm not going to pay for a room to gamble at their casino. If they can't see how much I play when I'm there then I won't stay there. Mgm and mirage give me rooms for 7 days if I want, 150 to 200 dollars a day food, show tickets if I ask, use of their limo to take me anywhere I want so I'm going to gamble there until someone offers me as much. I have never tried to get free play because I don't play slots. As soon as they tell me I can't be comped upfront for everything, I'll start calling somewhere else

I think we are in a different league! That would seem like a great amount to me.

I wonder if I will ever get to the levels some of you guys are talking about. What types of games and bankroll would someone receiving that level of comps usually be playing/have?

After staying their for 3 nights COMPED, and spending 5K, MGM just sent me 2 FREE NIGHTS! WOW.
I guess they want to push their small players out the door. Oh well I am Platinum at CET, looks like I will be staying at Caesars.

Similar to my spend and similar to what I'm getting. Sometimes feels like a kick in the ass!:grrr:

I just spoke to my host and she explained that it's corporate policy not to allow booking offers of freeplay with "special event" concerts.:nono:

She claims the 3 times I booked concerts that the concerts were added AFTER I had booked the initial offer, and that she was "holding her breath" that they would be "accepted" by the individual hotels. She was surprised that each time, the hotels allowed the booking of the concert with the other offer already in play.

She said I can check later, closer to the date of my next trip, and she'll try to add in the concert ticket to my ARIA offer and see if it takes.

    Hmmmm......

Kim, the policy for non-whales has always been either free play or concert tickets, however you are booking with your host on the east coast and not the hosts at the individual M-Life Vegas properties so I suspect your host on the east coast was lucky to get away with it as long as she did.

What usually happens in my past experience booking directly with a host on the Vegas property is I take the offer with the free play and F&B credit and then ask them to reserve and charge the concert ticket to my room charges. Then they review my play at the end of the trip and decide if they are going to comp it off for me using primary comps or if I have to use EC's. Of course since the October 1st changes I suppose now they would tell me to use the EC's and if I didn't have enough then they might comp it using primary comps if they liked my play.

Don't get me wrong though I'm not defending M-Life in any way as I really hate the changes since October 1st and the earlier changes of audits and removing EC's without notice.

Did you have any luck on this last trip?

Ditto that for me, CET has never offered me squat on any trip, not even a freakin free sammich. In the meanwhile I have 8 nights total comps with RF waived in LV plus FP and FB and two days ago received an offer from Beau Rivage for 3 nights comps, airfare, limo service, 300 FP and 150 FB and I have never even been to Beau.

I am so much lower a player than what most who complain about MGM say they are it's ridiculous, at least I think I am, yet I keep getting these offers like you. My question is really becoming what gives here? Am I playing at a much higher level than I think I am or is it just a case of which property you stay at and the management at the individual property, I mean hell I don't even have a host.

Where are you playing? What kind of games and bets...I might look at switching from CET.

I am mainly a slots and BJ, and what I would call a ver low/mid roller level 1.50-5.00 slots and 10-20/hand BJ, player with Pai Gow thrown in and most of my play is at Mandalay and Luxor which is where my 8 days are at.

No. I had to cancel my weekend trip in January because I'm wayyyy lacking funds right now. I got no play whatsoever. Only earned 10k tier points and $30 ECs and lost 3k. STP (Straight Through Processing) on the slots. I'm D-O-N-E!

Really sorry to hear that! When things get better for you next year I hope you give V&P a try, it can hardly be worse then M-Life these days and at least the VIP lounges there are open 24 hours a day with food/drink. ;)

Next year I will only stay at M-Life if I get a decent upfront offer and then only if I'm staying more then 3 days and want to move away from V&P or Wynn for a change of scenery.
