Say you are playing 10 line line video poker (25 cent x 5 credit per line x 10 lines) does each line act as a seperate bet or does the total payout determine whether it is gonna require a W2G.
For instance say you get 4OAK aces + a 2 on the first line and hold it. You would get 2000 credits ($500 per line x 10 lines for a total of a $5000 win).

So what I'm asking is whether each hand is considered independant and the machine would tally up the $5000 or would this end up being a hand pay and require a W2G form.

The total win over $1199.99 will lock up the machine and make you call for an attendant to pay you and generate a W2G.

Yep ... I can attest to exactly what "Shock" has described.

Back in September, playing 10-line nickels at the Rampart, the lady next to me was playing 10-line "Super Aces" for dimes, and was dealt quad Aces, for $200 per line ... $2,000 total. Machine locks up, floor attendant arrives, and eventually does a hand-pay, and the tax paper to go with it.

They'd have to, otherwise it could be argued that each line on a slot machine constitutes a different bet as well.
