Maybe, I've been watching my crappy J_E_T_S on
DVR replay.......more often than not ?
    but......
Yesterday, My god !!......every other minute seemed like
they were cutting away for commercials ?
    .
Between keeping an eye on my newly, staggering ( walking)
11 month old son + watching a really BORING, NY Jet game ----
I think I watched more commercial time than football game ?
    .
    .
The best entertainment - by far - was my narration of my son
    staggering across the floor.
I made up stories - of him staggering in Vegas...:evillaugh....
#1...carrying his drink from the bar to the Crap table -
#2... (carrying his story book, which of course
became him carrying a porn slapper pamphlet down The Strip )
#3.....knocking everything off the end table = became a drunken BJ table player !
#4....he was asked to leave the premises alot !
    .
    .
    I'm way too tired, today.

When we lived in Vegas we had Directv and the Sunday Ticket for NFL. During the week, they would rerun certain games w/o commercials and all the other crap.

I think they could reduce a game to ~1:10, maybe even less. Memory is foggy, but I liked it!

If you think its odd in an nfl game (where you can PVR or channel surf away), imagine being at the games. There's a lot of sitting around watching people stand around.

The NFL is playing a really fine line between maximizing revenue and hurting their product.

Yes, this is called NFL Replay. It's offered on the NFL network. I believe DirecTV Sunday Ticket also offers their own version of something similar as well.

The idea is - take out the commercials, the punts, the huddles, the long pauses between plays, and only show the action. It boils a 3 hour game easily down to an hour or so, and you see everything of importance.

We counted them several years ago with a pitch counter...regular season game that's not Nationally televised....ready for this..........................OVER 300...mind you some are only 5-10 seconds long...but most are NOT.

What worries me the most about this is the fact that you actually recorded a Jets game.
