When ever I check into a room I always go to the restroom and check the water pressure. If it is not sufficient to my "standards" I always take off the shower head and remove the water saver thingy magingy and voila best pressure you can ask for. I know this is probably frowned upon but i do it anyways Have done this at every hotel I have stayed at . I always put it back on when I leave though. Does anybody else do this, or am I the only one? ps. Sometimes I have to take some tools with me to get the shower head off:evillaugh
Nope, but I'm no fan of the low pressure showers either... I just spent a week at the Hard Rock in San Diego and the shower had one big one overhead, one in front of me at eye level and four adjustable ones on the wall behind me. Holy crap it was great, it was like being in a car-wash!!!
To be fair, the client put me up in a nice RockStar Gold suite... I don't know if all the room are like that?
Geez why not remodel the bathroom while you're there? Just kidding! I've never had water pressure problems but I stayed in a high room at Paris once and no matter how long I let the shower run the water temperature never got hot. I ended up taking most my showers in the Spa.
love this idea and will do next visit in 2 weeks. only i wont put the little water thingy back in. Thats how i roll, i am a rebel!!
CaliMike: Forget my invitation to stay in the lakes region of NH! Just kidding. Actually I have never had a water pressure problem in LV but do know that there is quite a variation on the performance of water saving shower heads. I used to have apt houses and when I purchased my 4th (7 family) the water and sewer bill was in another world so one of the first thing I did was repair all the dripping faucets, install new aerators and water saving shower heads. I thought the tenants would complain about the change but they LOVED them. Of course if you like pulsating water and such they aren't for you. BTW, loose handles, running toilets and the like drive me crazy so i usually fix them if I can with minimum or no tools. Jimbo338
wow I laughed when I spotted this post. last trip in september I took a plier and a showerhead with us and switched them in the room. It really irritates me when you get a room where the water does little more than trickle out. I think the water is a lot softer in vegas than where we live so it is a lot harder to rinse the soap off and crappy pressure makes it way worse. (could this make the vegas peeve list) lol!!
I've heard of people bringing their own higher wattage light bulbs but you are taking it to a new level, lol! JIMBO338
I like high pressure too. Wynn has great pressure. I remember the RIO also having great pressure. I don't know that any hotel I've stayed in in Vegas had low pressure.....
we did this once at Ip and by the time I finished my shower the tub was nearly overflowing due to the extra water flow and their clogged up drains.
The best pressure I've ever had was at my old dorm at Texas Tech hahaha. Seriously, it was insane. Although it was a public bathroom I had friends who liked to shower there when they visited haha. I've never really had any problems in Vegas though that I remember. And wow, taking tools just to prep the shower head....I must hand it to you, you are a shower aficionado! Lol.
