Now I can finally explain why I recommend duct tape for the curtains while others recommend clips.

Until this visit, all rooms I have stayed at there have had curtains that only pull one way across the windows, this requiring them to be duct taped to the wall to keep out the gazillion watt spotlights,

This past visit, however, the curtains were the more standard variety that pulled together from both sides. Thus, clips might have worked on those.

I know you mentioned this before and thanks for the tip, John. I had the same situation during my last stay at Bally's. When closed, the drapes still had a gap between them. I picked up a roll of 2" wide masking tape from the 99ยข Store but I had to use a lot of it because it didn't hold onto the fabric too well. Next time maybe I'll try either duct tape or binder clips.

Clips work perfectly. I bought them at the $.99 store.

It's Vegas, I need like 4 hours sleep. If the Sun is up, it's probably time to think about getting up! Hit the bed around 4am, back up no later than 8-9 am.

I just put one side of the curtain over the other and use the Bible to hold them closed. That's what it's there for right?

I'm defintely wayyyy to drunk to realize, care, or remember that there was any light coming into the room. Hell, I've woken up and realized I didn't even shut the curtains before going to bed and open my eyes to blinding sunlight. But I'm definitely going to use that bible trick should I ever be sober enough to pay attention lol

I use one of the hangars with the pants clips on them to clip the curtains closed.

haha I'm the exact same way. If the light is bothering me I didn't get drunk enough and that means I failed.

I have always had a problem when the air conditioner is under the window and it only blows under the curtains. I never thought about using the Bible. Now I will.
