I just wanted to share my recent experience with the Monte Carlo. I have two rooms (one is a regular and one is a spa suite) booked at the MC in January of 2013. Both have been reserved since September. I have paid for the regular room in full. I got a helluva deal that way. I have placed a deposit down on the spa suite with the balance due at the time of my stay.

The spa suite is for my husband and myself and the regular room is for the father in law. Now, my father in law is in the hospital and will not be able to go with us. I called Monte Carlo this morning and asked if the regular room reservation is refundable. I knew it wasn't, but I explained my situation and asked anyway. The nice representative checked and told me it wasn't refundable. I then asked if I could go ahead and apply what I had paid on that reservation to my spa suite reservation. She had to ask a supervisor and sure enough they said YES!!!!

I realize that I could have cancelled my spa suite reservation and received that deposit refunded back to me and then stayed in the regular room but gosh dangit I really want the spa suite and the Monte Carlo made it happen! Just wanted to share my little bit of good news

A friendly and accord acting staff is the number one reason why I decide to return, or not, to a resort. Glad things are getting off to such a great start for you.:peace:

What an expensive way for them to ensure your loyalty even before you arrive. It's a long-sighted view that is sure to benefit them in the long run, just this publicity alone is worth exponentially more than the cost of your room.

I hope the airlines are paying attention...LOL.

    Congrats!

We have also had a nice experience in the past with customer service. Once we had a little problem on our last night (it was our 3rd stay at MC) So I just sent a little note c/o Anton Nikodemus, President regarding our concerns. Even if he didn't get the letter of our concern we did receive a nice note back and a note to call his office on our next stay for a comp upgrade room. Just thought it was a nice touch to get a reply in a business where we are normally just a number.

Thanks for sharing the experience! So often the posts on this board reflect what went wrong or what has changed that we don't like or how things aren't as good as the old days... nice to see a positive acknowledgement!!!

Glad to hear that others have received excellent customer service at Monte Carlo! We are hoping to make it our new home base for our Vegas vacations and the MC is definitely off to a great start with us!

Just got back from MC on a 3-night comp in HOTEL32. We had a small bit of confusion on our F&B and they ended up just comping the the whole thing. It was only a $28 difference on 1 day, but little things like that make MC my #1 choice in Vegas. Always great folks there!

I've never stayed there, but always liked to gamble there several times during each of my stays. It's one of the reasons I like to stay at that end of the strip
