I'm going to be in Vegas on a solo trip from Dec 24-26th, I'm looking for some nice bars/lounges that are hassle free, just want to chill and have a couple of drinks. From looking on here Eye Candy and Mix seem to be some good ones? Can anyone recommend any others?

Where to hang out for Christmas

Since you are young my advise is to hang out at Planet Hollywood and
NEWYORK NEW YORK because that is where I see lots of young people in
    their 30's hanging out at.
You will have fun looking at people and talking to people. Wear a cutsy
tiny hat or a Christmas flower in your hair and some madi gras beads
and people will want to talk to you.
Don't wear any rings on your fingers because the guys will think you have a husband somewhere in the hotel.

Stay safe by finding out who the security people are in each hotel that you
spend time at. Go talk to them and make some simple conversation so they know who you are.

I always go Solo to Vegas and I have always been safe even when I walk in
dark areas of a hotel because if I don't feel safe I will ask security to walk with me. They are always happy to keep an eye on me.

You are going to have lots of fun. Lucy

Find me at Paris on the 26th and you can buy the first round. I'll be the older grey guy.

Both of those are good choices I would say. mIX at least for the view is worth checking out. The only time I went though, it was pretty dead. So much for meeting people.

Also Chandelier at Cosmo is great, also it's pretty!!! Always people hanging out there.

looks like we are just going to miss each other! I'm on a solo (kind of) trip too. Do you like country music?? Because if you do, I think you would enjoy Toby Keith's at Harrah's. Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere during the day and evening, a little rowdier at night, but still a lot of fun. You could belly up to the bar area and just people watch! I'd also recommend the Heart Bar at PHO and the little bar at Paris by the check in (the name escapes me at the moment, but we always call it the hooker bar :haha:) you might also like Gustavs at Paris, these are all very casual bars. The Chandelier Bar at Cosmo as well (as much as I hate that place and the bitch waitress we got, I wont tell anyone not to go there, it still is really nice).

    have fun!!

I'm not that big of a country western fan, so not sure if I'd enjoy the Toby Keith place so much. I have been to the Chandelier Bar and loved it, the friends I went with only ended up ordering water because they thought everything was too expensive. I'm like hello it's Vegas what did you expect lol

Nikki, also a female in my 30s who has gone to Vegas solo. I've enjoyed going to bars with cover bands and haven't felt awkward being by myself. I usually meet people there too. I can recommend the Mizuya Lounge in Mandalay (esp try and see Phoenix -- an 80s cover band) and also Steel Panther in HOB. It's a ridiculous show.

Used to go to Scena Lounge in Venetian but its been redone as the Rock of Ages bar (Bourbon Room, maybe). I think its an 80s theme so that could be a fun spot.

When they all ordered waters I thought to myself boy our waitress is now gonna hate us lol. You are pretty much paying for ambiance but it was definitely worth it, although the drink I ordered was actually pretty good. Just can't remember the name of it. Someone suggested the Peppermill, wish I could find a drink menu for that place.

I will be in Vegas the 23rd to the 28th of this month and I will not be solo technically but will be going a lot of places by myself especially the club scene. I am 26 years old and I too wanted to know the best places to go alone. I LOVE dancing. So is there are any places you recommend for dancing (I mostly dance to hip-hop and techno)?
