Will be staying at Caesar's Palace but don't plan on renting a car. Is there some place nearby within walking distance to buy waters/snacks to keep in room?

I'm sure someone can chime in with something on a side street. You are kindof in the middle of 2. Walgreens between Venetian and Casino Royal and one on the other side of Planet Hollywood.

Ok Walgreens would work. Wonder if it would be totally weird looking to take a rolling suitcase to put the stuff in to bring back to room?

Across the street behind Bill's Gambling Hall is a convenience store with soda, water, gatorade, hot dogs, beer, smokes, etc etc etc. Go East on Tropicana like you are walking to Ellis Island. It will be at the traffic signal where Bally's Sports Book entrance is.

I take one of those folding canvas/nylon grocery bags in my luggage just for that trip! :wink2:

*edit* - Just checked it on google maps street view, it's called "Stage Door". HTH

I was there a couple of weeks ago and in the Flamingo casino right near Margaritaville there's a snack shop with almost everything you want. Don't know why people are sending you everywhere else. It's across the street from CP, you cross the street and right there is Margaritaville and yes i brought luggage into the snack shop. I stayed right next door at IP and at least a couple of times a day i bought snacks to bring to the room.

The only thing is... Stage Door on foot or Walmart/Vons with a car is way way way cheaper.

Think a vegas based shopping trip when youre already there. For example the last time i was there for a bachelor party we spent $100 and had enough to stay trashed all weekend including snacks and mixers...

The OP signified he wasn't renting a car. And the OP mentioned that he would be carrying luggage. That's why i suggested walking across the street to Flamingo and their snack shop. For what i paid for in snacks/water etc. i would imagine walking to Stage Door with luggage is not worth it to the OP unless the OP is an alchoholic.....LOL.

Yep, was generalizing it for any situation with the car part. I assume he has a roller suitcase, so I don't see the big deal with a detour -- and I'm also making the assumption that if he's filling a suitcase he's buying enough to make the savings worthwhile.

I'm all with you though, I'm not the type of person to take a hike to save a buck on a coffee or one thingz But I will take a hike to save a weeks worth of booze. They don't call it alco-haul for nothing. It's worth the effort!

Also a Walgreens at Planet Hollywood.

I just ended up driving to CVS near the Hard Rock to buy massive amounts of water because it's so dry there!! But yea if you don't have a car you are a little stuck. Something tells me the prices are high at those Walgreens too... might not be any better than just buying it at the hotel. Can you just pack snacks?

Thanks for that! I always get Flamingo and Tropicana mixed up, both the streets AND the casino names. :rolleyes2:

Sorry for the mixup. My bad. :faint:

I used to get them mixed up too... Now I just imagine hooters and the MGM Grand parking garage behind tropicana and the straightens me out! Also, the fact that monorail tracks are over flamingo but not tropicana

    CVS=Snack Palace

There is a CVS .8 Mi South at City Center, & a Walgreens right across the street.

As to the post on cost, stuff is dirt cheap
a 12 pack of water for $5 ish, or less.

Our last stay in Bellagio, water was $5 a bottle from the vending machine, even more in room.

Cvs: (we refer to CVS as our L.V. Snack Palace):peace:
Bottled water, Soda, Beer, chips, chocolate, nuts, Granola bars, Forgotten travel items, such as shampoo,
conditioner & lotion + tons of other things CHEAP!
It's on Las Vegas Blvd, Very walkable from C.P. w/a rollie pollie tote/luggage.

Soloman - the one right by the street at end of Carnaval Court has been closed for awhile due to Linq construction. However, the one at Flamingo opened to replace it. And BOY does it get a LOT more traffic. Not sure why - but it is always crowded in there!

If I were buying for 4 of us or such I would make the extra walk. Otherwise I would just pay Walgreens price or get it at the snack shop. Planning on packing some snacks in luggage for Disney as we won't have a car this trip - so I suppose I should start planning!

Maybe your trip from the airport could be made by cab...with a quick stop in a grocery store or a Walgreens
