Neat article in today LV Sun about the Double Down Saloon (see below).

I happened in this bar while out for a walk one afternoon while staying at the Hard Rock. I had a blast and try to stop in for a few laughs 3-4 times a year now. Many of you know about this joint, but for those of you who don't, this article explains what makes it so different.

i love the double down and the ass juice tastes like anything but! i just wish i could convince my husband to go more. even as an occasional smoker, it is way too smokey for him in there.

You know how you see the name of something sometimes and think, "it can't be as bad as it sounds" or be surprised how good something is even though it sounds terrible?

Well Bacon Martinis are as bad as they sound!

    Fun place.

My friends and I went there twice, both times on bingo night. They also have a Double Down in Manhattan. We went there and I got the "Shut Up and Drink" T-shirt after too much shutting up. I've had it for two years but never wore it once. Maybe I'll wear it next time we go to Vegas. BTW, I liked the ass juice.

I guess years ago it was edgy.

But, really, it has a branch in Manhattan.

    Jeez

EVERYONE should visit the Double Down once!

    Now twice ... ????? :)

I don't remember the bacon martini (it sounds like totally 144 fer-shure) but I do remember Ass Juice where the guy played like he was squeezing out his wipe-off rag into it. I did not have one, but I saw them make it.

That little Italian hole-in-the-wall place next door was surprisingly good! I'll have to remember it the next time somebody poo-poos Battista's and wants and Italian suggestion. :) :) :) :)

I think you're talkin' about Milano's... a little pizza/italian place next door. They had a fire there a few months back. Nothing major, but the place never re-opened and a couple weeks ago I noticed all the booths and fixtures were gone. I don't think they're comin' back.

    Oh really?

Shows how much I'm out of the loop.

    They were quite good, IIRC.
