    Hello All,

I am trying to plan a gambling trip for a weekend around Jan 18-21. I will be by myself. My standard is 6.5 hours travel and around $400 flight, what it would take me to get to vegas. I would prefer to be way under this.

My main objective is to find the closest/easiest/cheapest place to Rhode Island that offers ok rules double deck. Preferably somewhere Southwest fly's.

I know Foxwoods and Mohegan do not have DD. Anybody know about Oxfords in Maine?

I have played a lot in Wisconsin and have done well over the summer and last couple months. Plus I can get to Chicago for $250 in 2 hours and drive from there, Potowatomi, Ho-Chunk, Oneida, etc.

Anybody have any other ideas that may be accessible from the east coast?

Biloxi? Tunica? Detroit? As long as they have double deck pitch.

And no AC, I could fly to Vegas just as fast.

I don't know about DD in Detroit but I do know you'll never find a table under $15 and quite frequently $25.

    Try Reno

    Give Reno a try.

Las Vegas Style action, but at a slower pace, & SWA has flights there.

Great drink service & Lots of gaming options, tons of Slots & always lower table Min's & 3/2 $5 & up BJ.

They try harder to please the Players, even the Airport people are friendlier.

Rec Hotels, Downtown Silver Legacy or Eldorato.

Off Downtown, Peppermill & Atlantis decent too.

    Enjoy :peace:

We've had good times going to St Louis and New Orleans. Have no idea about what table games they offer, though.

The Hard Rock in Biloxi is great. They get good entertainment too. Great comps to boot.:peace:

6.5 hours from Providence to Atlantic City, are you flying or taking Megabus? Philly is about an hour by car to AC.

Maybe you could pick out a couple of cities that would fit your budget and schedule from Little Rhodie, you're looking for good games or a travel agent?

Does anyone know if they have raised the limits on table games from $5 in Colorado? Also are the Colorado casinos open 24/7?

Blue Chip is one of my faves. I started cutting back on other casinos closer to me so I can save up and hit their spa!

hey snowy.... You don't you have everything you could possibly ask for at Twin River and you dont even need to take a plane?

LOL..... I hate that place.... stupid video BJ and roulette, very few and horribly paying VP and tons of slots that do nothing but take your money.

Thanks for all the reply's. I actually ended up booking another trip to Vegas for the weekend of Jan 25-28. Figured the airfare wasn't bad, will have a free room, so it really only comes down to time on a plane. Plus I am waiting till after my December trip to decide for sure or not, depends on my bankroll.

I am still interested in some other places, but my game of choice is Double Deck Pitch. I am really looking for a place I could go as a solo, have a good DD game. If I want a half way decent shoe game I only have to drive to Foxwoods or Mohegan. I know I can find good games around northern Wisconsin, but have not traveled much beyond that and Vegas.

Anybody have any feedback on Blackjack games around Gulfport/Biloxi or New Orleans? Never been to New Orleans.

I went to Beau Rivage pre-Katrina, 2004 if I remember right. Place was beautiful then, rooms were awesome. Can only imagine the re-built place is at least two times nicer.

How about the best of both worlds... Play at some places you haven't before on the boulder strip or north lv?

The Hard-Rock Biloxi is a nice hotel, but their blackjack sucks (6-5 on their double-decks on the main floor). However, Biloxi is a great place for double-deck pitch games. Treasure Bay has S17 and Beau Rivage has H17 but good penetration (66%) with the notch in the discard tray. S17 in the high-limit.

Isle has a single-deck game with 3:2 on Blackjack, H17, NDAS and double on 10-11 only.

Every other casino has H17 double-deck games, usually about 55% penetration. IP is a good casino, and you can play for $5 at Boomtown.

Biloxi is a fun place with a good gamble on the BJ. I've been there often. Check Delta for flights into Gulfport.
