That's what I heard too and room comps are easier to come by during this period. I'll be there on the 21st!

i was there that week 3 years ago - it was cold (kepy my winter jacket on from Canada the whole trip) and was different. A lot more people who don't celebrate christmas there - different ethnic mix. Lots of fun still - lost the same amount of money that week than I did any other time I have gone, too!

I think I booked Harrahs (before I ever had a TR card) for $65 for 3 nights. That was the total - all in with no resort fee. So it was cheap!

Very slow, but room rates and table minimums are low so it's a good time for a low budget trip. Shows are easier to get tickets for too. Not my favorite time of the year to go, but if you've got the itch it is a decent time to go.

I really enjoyed going in March when I could use the pools and it was 75 out-but this fits into my schedule and with show tickets being easier and maybe more meal deals it would be a good time to go

Best week to go, we do it every year. Often fly back Christmas day. (We're not of the persuasion that holds it as a high holy day.)

Crowds are down. Lines are short. Comps even for low-rollers and downright cheapskates are generous.

Some shows are dark. Some shops are closed on the 25th., but not all of them recently.

Until recently it was non-stop endless-loop Jingle Bell Rock and such on the casino sound systems but the past few years they seem to be backing off on this.

Timeshare dweebs are as obnoxious as ever, however.

Yep, flying home Christmas Day is usually nice since the planes are usually a little more empty.

I've been trying to get my wife to take our third trip to Vegas but she refuses to go the week before Christmas. She said I could go without her but I think that was just to shut me up and I would be in trouble if I actually did.

I also go this week every year.
    I always love it.

Just be prepared for a lot of repetitive XMas music. I like it, but it drives a few people I know crazy :-O
