Brazilian steakhouse

Want to try a Brazilian steakhouse this trip. What is the best one? Are they over rated?

 

Texas de Brazil

This is a chain in the USA they are all the same they have like 10-12 cuts of meats and a great salad bar with 50 items , I am going to the one in Miami tomorrow its GREAT>its in the Town Square mall on las vegas boulevard ,

 

Pampas in the mall at Planet Hollywood is good, but probably not as good as Texas de Brazil.

fogo de chao is one of the best. it is on flamingo...not far from the strip.

it is higher priced, but if you are looking for this style (rodisio), this is top of the line.

Pampas is pretty good, and reasonably priced if you get the coupon

Is Fogo de Chao better than Texas de Brazil? I haven't been to either one, and would like to try whichever is the better one on my upcoming trip.

Also, does Fogo have table for two, or are they all large shared tables?

For what it's worth, I don't eat beef, and have still really, really enjoyed Fogo de Chao (I've been in DC and Philly). The chicken breasts wrapped in bacon and Parmesan-crusted pork loin are both phenomenal.

Can't speak to Vegas, but the other ones I've been to have all been laid out like a normal restaurant, including 2-tops, 4-tops, and larger tables.

 

My wife (not a meat eater) really liked texas de brazil. I had a birthday bogo coupon and I thought it was very good. I always avoided these places because it seemed silly to pay $50 for someone that doesn't eat much meat at all.

Last trip we had a groupon for Pampas and we both thought it was pretty bad, tough chewey meat and shrimp served with heads and legs still attached, not easy to eat.

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. My limited experience with this type of restaurant has been all "community" tables.

As a huge Churrascaria/ Rodizio fan, I have the following opinion.

Pampas is decent, especially with a coupon. Had the surf & turf rodizio a few times. Plus side is the salad bar- good variety.

Went to a Texas de Brazil (in Raleigh, NC) - good but not as good as...

Samba in the Mirage. Unbelievable food. Sides were amazing. Meat was juicier and more tender. Comfy chairs in which to "sleep" off your meat coma. Didn't have/see salad bar but wouldn't have attempted it either trip.

Heard good things about Yolie's. May check it out.

 

We had dinner at Fogo de Chao tonite and it was excellent. Service was soooo good. Extremely good service, lovely atmosphere, great quality meats. Their signature steak was our fave. chicken in bacon was moist and lots of flavor.
The salad bar was gorgeous. It was a fun, very enjoyable meal.

 

Is Yolie's still around? This is the only one I can speak of. I haven't heard anything or seen any ads in quite some time.

Back when we went it was MEAT, MEAT, and MORE MEAT! "Pig-Out" was an understatement!

 

I LOVED Yolies. But i was there YEARS ago.

 

Just ate at Samba inside Mirage for dinner last week, had a great time. It was our first time there, and we'll definitely make a trip back. Great service and fantastic quality.

 

Brazilian food is usually pretty interesting. There was a place in Denver I used to go to that was great. I'll have to try it my next time in LV.

 

I don't think a "Brazilian Steakhouse" is necessarily Brazilian food... just non-stop meat being served

 

My wife is from Brazil and we've eaten at several Brazilian restaurants. She explained to me that Brazilian food varies from one part of the country to another. It's the same as here in the USA, if your from the South or North, the foods will be different.

She also said to check the bill because most of the time the tip is included. I gave out a couple of pretty nice tips the first two times we went.
