Hi Guys, I will be in vegas from 11/22 to 11/26 We definitely want to watch a magic show on this trip...which one would you guys recommend the most? Thanks!
Yeah, Mac King has a great little family afternoom magic Show... good for kids and adults and I've seen him lots of times! He's a real good, professional performer but...I get the feeling you're looking for something a little larger in the way of an illusion Show. There's a few in town... some afternoon shows like Mac's. There's also the discounters: www.tix4tonight.com (same day tickets) www.bestofvegas.com (use the free phone number and book by phone) or...check out David Copperfield. David Copperfield at the MGM Grand probably has the largest illusion Show...he's been around a long time and might be the Show you're looking for. It's in MGM's Hollywood Theater. I'd suggest seats somewhere in the BB, C or D sections. Up front is too close and further back wouldn't be as much fun. Call 'em...check out the availability 1.800.929.1111 www.mgmgrand.com 'click' Entertainment 'click' Hollywood Theater
I can't compare many magic shows, have never seen any of the big stage shows (whatever happened to Lance Burton?) I have seen both Mac King and Nathan Burton, and Mac's show was far more entertaining... he has more slight-of-hand/up close magic than Burton, who does variations of the same trick with big stage props. You don't need to be in the front row to appreciate Mac's tricks, however, and it isn't expensive. Both are afternoon shows.
Yeah, Mac is very enteraining. It is fun to sit up front if you can get a seat up there...if there's kids in the audience that day, they like to sit up there too so....lol. first come/first serve. You used to be able to get a fee pass to his Show in Carnival Court for the cost of a drink...?
You can ask for a certificate at the Total Rewards desk for a coupon. Used it in October and got two free admissions for the priced of two drinks. Worth it, but the show was poorly attended.
I have been to his Harrah's show twice, and both times were "free" tickets be handed out somehow. Somehow a drink ends up costing $13+, so it's hard to argue it's a free show, but it's still a good show for $26.xx/couple. Plenty of open seats when I've been there... which is a shame.
Try the Mike Hammer show at 4 Queens tues-sat at 7pm. He is funny, and has some great tricks. We have seen him 2x and it was fun. There used to be tickets at kshp.com but no longer. here is the website and maybe discount tickets can be had somewhere. http://tickets.fourqueens.com/
Hi Guys... Thanks for all your inputs..We are planning to see Mac King....I'll try and post my trip report soon
