Cirque Show suggestions

Heading to Vegas in January and would like to go see a Cirque show. Have done a little research into it but I would like some input from others. Right now KA looks to be on top of my list for the fact that it is some what battle themed. I am a 25 year old guy and would like something exciting and intense. So let me know what Cirque shows you prefer.

 

Mystere would be my suggestion for a Cirque first timer (assuming you are). Plenty of action and wow moments. It is the oldest of the bunch but proven with audiences. I saw KA with a bunch of friends in our late 20s. I was having trouble keeping my eyes open through the show and so did my buddies. It was their first Cirque show and I felt bad they were bored so brought them to see Mystere the next night. They were on the edge of their seats for that one. Can't go wrong with that one.

 

Ka is the best show I've ever seen in my life.

 

For guys in their 20's, I would NOT recommend Mystere. The show is heavily influenced by the gay culture. Who wants to see a grown man walk around in a diaper sucking on a pacifier while crying? Almost every act has some in your face homosexuality. Ka definitely has some intense battle scenes if that's what you like. But I did find Ka to be a little boring at times.

Just so we are clear, guys in their20's and the homosexual are not two mutual exclusive groups. Further, I would argue that guys in their 20's may be more willing to be challenged by the avant-garde characters of Mystere than older men.

 

I really think Mystere is the best Cirque show, followed closely by KA. I also saw Absinthe my last trip and while not formally a Cirque show, it is certainly Cirque-like, and it was awesome!

I would agree that the two groups are not mutually exclusive but they are close enough to that for me lol. Definitely would not be put off by such things but at the same time would prefer to not have it square in my face. The main objective is to see a good show and the way it sits now, I think it is still KA. I have also heard good things about O and La Reve, the water shows...

 

Ka is fabulous. That is the show I take friends to when introducing them to Cirque shows. They get hooked after seeing that one!

 

LOVE is still the best, IMO. Not all that war-like, I'll grant you.

 

O is great, taking girlfriend to see it when we are in Vegas in December.

Booked tickets for Zarkana as well, have heard good things.

 

From what it sounds like, yes...KA' is for you.
I suggest a seat either in the very last row of front SEC.102,
ROW R or...as close to the front of Upper Rear SEC.202.

You don't want a far Left or Right side section...or too close
up front. Stay as centered as possible.

Thanks GREGRIO for the input and seating advice. I am not put off by any comments in re homosexuality. I'm 25 years old and mature and comfortable enough in my own skin that anything to that idea would not deter me from enjoy a show for what it is, I was just a little put off by the idea that it was very up front and in your face. I believe everyone is entitled to pursue whomever they may choose as long as you never push it on someone who doesn't believe in the same thing as you.

It looks like I will be booking tix to KA for sure and may see if I can catch another show as well depending on how the club schedule plays out for me and the guys.

I think you'll enjoy KA'...it's pretty cool.

I'd once again like to mention about the previous posters
comment about...'Big Baby' who wares the diaper and bonnet
in MYSTERE.

That is FRANCOIS DUPUIS...one of the original cast members
of the Show, and his routine has absolutely nothing to do with
gay anything.
FRANCOIS died in his sleep a short while back. He will be missed.
