FYI - We won't be able to take advantage of the FREE Southwest 24-hour check-in services via www.checkintomyflight.com.

Southwest Airline already issued Cease and Desist Letter to the founder of that website and banned free check-in services, which have benefited thousands & thousands of travelers!

Here is the updated information. http://www.checkintomyflight.com/

Unless you already entered your flight. If you did that, it will still check you in.

It's kinda sad when people are too lazy to even check in themselves. Seems to be alot of paranoia about SW boarding numbers, I've had late B boarding and still got 3rd row window(which is what I wanted anyway).

Why not just check in to SW online? It's free too.

I think this was a site that would auto check in for you in case you couldn't be online 24 hours prior.

Right, with Southwest, you want to check in the first moment you can, in order to get the best seating order. They don't do boarding passes and assigned seats, so if you snooze, you end up with a middle seat on the plane (which some people care about more than others). Earlier = better selection of seat when you board the plane.

Someone started up another site? SW has been cracking down hard on sites like this even before they started the EB program.

It sounds to be the "one-and-only" website which 25-year-old Nikil Viswanathan (Stanford Graduate) established back in January 2012. He spent just 45-minutes and created it (a brilliant guy)! The site automatically checked him into Southwest flights, so he wouldn’t have the last pick of seats.

Here is the news with interview from NBC Bay Area http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/Lawsuit-Wont-Slow-Down-Standford-Grad-175709161.html

There were two different check in sites. IIRC, one even charged for early check in. The media is gullible if they are treating this as a unique idea.

Are your sure that IIRC still exist? If so, please share the URL (link). Thanks.

It sounds to be like an eBay sniper type program. They have been around for years.

i dont blame southwest for staking their claim on this. They have safety conerns to deal with that some kid in fresno op wherever he is from does not have to worry about. They also most liklely get some advertising revenue from their site as well.

So if you cut their site out of the loop it opens everyone to potential boarding problems such as too many boarding passes, not enough, the wrong people being allowed to get on flights, that sort of stuff that southwest has to deal with, not this kid.

This will end up costing us all more.
