Does anyone else get terrible offers from Mirage in comparison to other properties? I've never stayed or played at Mirage, and because of the awful offers I don't think I'll ever get to.

My host at Mirage tells me he can only give me comped room, no FandB. While in comparison Bellagio, Aria, and virtually every other property will give me a suite some FandB, and the lower tier properties free play on top.

Is the host at Mirage I've been communicating with just bad? Or is Mirage just cheap when it comes to comps?

Oddly, I called Mirage yesterday and they beat my offer from Monte Carlo

I get very comparable offers from Mirage (suite, $400 in free play, $300 resort credit) - but then I've stayed and played there. I guess I wouldn't even think of calling an M Life property that I hadn't stayed or played at - and expect a direct offer from them (but then, what the heck do I know). The first time I stayed there, I just used my corporate offer. Maybe give them some play, and you will get better offers.

Its possible, but by comparison my first time I stayed and played at NYNY they gave me $500 FP, penthouse suite, and FandB. Other places I've never stayed or played at like MGM Aria are at least willing to do suite and F and B.

Maybe I'm talking to the wrong person. Anyone have a really good host there?

I went random host yesterday -- just called VIP services and asked for a host. I got Garrett. It took him about 90 seconds to beat the offer I had from MC. No idea if he's a good host, but it was a good, no BS interaction, which is what I'm looking for.

Mike, you will be happy with Mirage's matched offer. Mirage is certainly better than Monte Carlo in many aspects. I remember from your previous TR, you lost about $4K at MC. Hope you will win money from Mirage in your next trip.

My personal experience has been that the official mLife offers at the Mirage are relatively weak in comparison to properties such as the ones you mention, but I've been able to get a significant bump each trip by working directly with a host. Based on what I've read on this forum, it seems that the MGM management has been pushing recently to funnel various players toward whichever property THEY think is best suited for their play level. In my case, I used to get over-the-top teaser offers from Aria, for example, but haven't heard a word from them in the past year or so. Mostly, I just hear from Mirage and NYNY, where I have the most play history, nowadays.

I think you're right. The suite I'm getting at Mirage is certainly nicer than the suite I was getting at MC, and Mirage threw in some F&B on top of it.

I've stayed at Mirage once before and had a less than great experience in the casino (drink service was poor...they only had one (empty) craps table open at 8 AM and it was $25 min because nobody had changed it back from the previous night.) But we enjoyed the room. So I think it's time to give them another chance.

As much as I love Mirage, their craps scene tends to be very hit-or-miss, in my experience. The last couple times I've been there, there's only been one or two tables open even in the evenings, and they tend to only be busy in spurts; a table will fill up, a few bad rolls will happen, and it totally clears out. In other casinos people would just move, but since Mirage barely has any tables open to begin with, the craps scene just dies.

I'll probably give them another try in a couple trips.

Its all going to depend on what your home casino is for MGM I guess. And how much you actually played there to some extent. I used to think mine was Mandalay Bay since they always gave me the best offers, and out of the MGM casinos I play at (in order of where my money goes Bellagio, Mirage, MGM, Aria, NY NY, Monte Carlo, MB, Luxor) They didnt even make my top 5.

So I always stayed there (MB), took the free suite, sometimes at THE hotel, and used the free play but gambled at the other joints they own.

For some reason my Mirage offers have been getting better and better. I used to get 2 week day nights comped and $50 in free play. That turned into 3 week nights and $85 now I'm at 3 nights, whenever I want, $100 in food and $200 in free play. So my Mirage offers have been through the roof.

Much more so than any of properties. I guess if they like you, you get the goods. If not you are just ranked my your quarterly season offers.

With that said I have never once, ever, gotten a special offer for NY NY or Monte Carlo. I can get 3 nights and dinner for 2 at Aria, but I'll be damned if Monte Carlo gives me anything. So to answer your question, I guess we'll never know for sure.

If you've got an offer for a place like Aria and you want to stay at NYNY or MC, call the host at the property you want to stay at and tell them you want to come. They'll very likely work with you.
