Can you use both host and corporate offers?

Planning a trip to Aria. I have a host there who has set me up with a nice room comped for some nights and discounted for the rest (I am there for a week).

I now have two friends wanting to join me.

In my MLife account I noticed that I have an offer for three free nights at Aria together with some resort credit.

Is it possible for me to use that corporate offer as well so that my friends can use the room and have a cheaper stay? If it is possible,am I right in assuming that my primary comps level will be increased by this and therefore will affect what the host will expect from my gambling before she is able to comp off any further charges?

I neither want to piss my host off nor affect how Aria see me. I am very happy with how they look after me and don't want to mess that relationship up.Nor do I want to feel that my gambling on this trip is merely paying for my friends' room and none of my F&B will be able to be taken care of at the end of the stay (which is what usually happens).I might as well just pay for their room if that is the case.

But if I can help out some friends I would like to do so.

Would it be better just to ask my host to book a second room for my friends and see if she will discount it?

If it makes any difference I am Platinum at MLife and last time earned 165k tier credits during my stay (again,a week long).I expect to play at a similar level this time.My friends are not really gamblers-just coming for the sun and nightlife.

No, you can't. They won't let you book two offers for the same time period. No chance.

The only one who can help out your friends is your host. He might give them a 'friends and family' rate, which may or may not save them money over other offers they can find. If you were a really High Roller, maybe he'd toss their room in.

I'll see what promo codes I can find for them instead.I'm certainly not a high roller and to be honest I am glad not to have the feeling of being responsible for their booking.

 

Yeah, if you want to book for friends, you have to do it with a non MGM property. You can get a couple of good pairings (Mirage-TI, or MGM-Tropicana) that are close together. But like you said, you're totally responsible for their room, and for me it's not a great feeling.

 

If your play is strong enough, the host might get you a second room. Or get you a special rate that you could then pay for using Express Comps - if you have lots of em.

But, as said, no matter who issues the deal, it is tied to your number, and the system will not allow double offers at the same time.

 

I have called my host many times and got casino rate for friends and family meeting me in Las Vegas.

 

My 'friends and family' rate at the MGM was not good. Cost me more then if I would have gotten deals elsewhere.

I will ask my host if a casino rate is available for them,whilst also checking around for some promo codes,so I can compare.

 

I dont know how high your play is, but if you can have it verified at another property (such as TI, Trop, Hard Rock) and you dont intend on playing at that other property ever again, they may be able to comp you a room up front that you can use for your friends. I think that's what Mike was saying up above.

I know I have this option open and know of others that have done so. The only issue is its a one time deal and you'll prob never end up getting anything for free again from the property you dont play at but use the room.

 

It's close to what I was saying. For me, I've put in some play at non MGM properties in the past, just in case I want to get a room for someone in the future.
