I was in this hotel once. Double booked it for the free-play and food comp...didn't actually stay there, but I went to the room. I really recommend against it. They have great VP though -- just awesome pay tables.

On a whim, stayed there this spring in main tower for something like $25/nite weekday rate, plus resort fee. Was pleasantly surprised with value. What we liked is casino had a different vibe than Strip denizens.

Stopped by last month for the very first time, skeptical and expecting nothing. Instead, we had a good time, enjoyable inexpensive food, and both won money. Easy in/out from parking garage, friendly staff too. Can't say anything about the hotel area, but we were pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had.

I have stayed at hooters and I've stayed at a few super 8's. It's miles better than the latter and perfectly acceptable for anyone.

we always try to drop by hooters on each visit to vegas.

we find the casino fun and weather permitting you can have a drink and relax for a bit by the year round pool.

If you use the monorail it is a quick scoot across the street and into mgm`s monorail station. we usually don`t bother with the monorail anymore but we have some 2 for 1 passes to use up next week.

Also it is great service and dealers as no tips are pooled. Only casino where each dealer keeps their tips

I think Hooters is doing it right. Good gambling, cheap food and drink, and a fun experiance. How come this place isnt packed?

The $3 table is kind of a scam, though. They advertise it, and there's always one open. But I've been in there and seen people having to wait in line to play at it, because they only open one. $1.50 beers, though.

As to why it's not packed...it's got a very dingy, small-time feel to it. I bought into their craps table one day for $500, and everyone looked at me like I was insane to be gambling that much money.

Drink service at VP was insanely fast. I tipped $5 for two of us on our first drink, and the waitress literally lined beers up faster than we could drink them.

wouldn't that be 2 reasons .... HEYYYYOOOOOOOO :evillaugh

i stayed once. I needed a last min booking to extended a weekend trip me and my lady liked it. Nothing fancy but its not run down like most people say.

The .25cent wings were killer but they went away to make room for the great 2.99 steak and eggs meal

we make a point to eat at hooters when we're hungry late at night. Its great to have good food values late at night at not have to stick with mcdonalds all the time.

There are several reasons to go to Hooters.

They have outstanding Video Poker. They have very good drink service. They have $1.50 beers even if you're not gambling. They play UFC fights with no charge.

We visited there a couple of weeks ago. Played on their new i-blackjack table. I have not seen that anywhere but there. It was interesting. I was enjoying the novelty of it until one of us got a blackjack and discovered that they paid 6/5. Really? .....REALLY? We packed it in then.

It was also interesting that they had all $5 blackjack tables, and one $3 table of course, but the crap table was at $10. I thought that strange. I am glad though because I made some good money on it.

The blackjack dealers were an interesting mix. There would be the hottie Hooter girl, and then she would be relieved by a 50 year old Asian women. Tells me they can't quite get enough hotties to deal there. There was nothing wrong with the Asian women. Both of the ones we had were very pleasant. I would have preferred hotties though! :evillaugh

I actually lived in that hotel for about 11 days - it was a blast! I just couldn't leave, it was so comfortable. The food is meh, but the $3 BJ is always full. Always. only 6/5 and poor rules but good way to get drunk for free.
