I've recently been contacted by a "Casino Relationship Manager | Player Relations", person at the Venetian. Am I correct in assuming this is a fancy way to say "casino host"? I have never had a host at any casino, so I'm a little dumb when it comes to this sort of thing. She isn't offering me anything that isn't already in my offers list, but I figure that's more of a "take a chance on the new guy" than anything else. Would that be how you are reading it as well? Thanks for any insight you might provide.
You may get mixed opinions, but no, I don't think that's a host. A host would say host. A player relations person in my experience is just a high end room booker with no ability to do anything that's not in the computer. Like when you call VIP services.
I thought that might be the case since I am only being offered what's in my queue already, so that's why I asked. Thanks for the assist. I've emailed her back about a trip I might make in December, so we'll see what comes of that.
that's like a "marketing coordinator". basically a title just to have a title, but means nothing. you want to key in on words like "host" (base level) or "executive" (higher level) or "director" or "VP" (highest level) in order to figure out where people stand in the casino business.
