We go to Vegas quite often and am confused at the offers I have been receiving lately. This past months trip we made 62k tier credits (wow what a change from the old MLife it's half what we normally would make); although, we did play more specialty slots. On the old system we varied anywhere from 120k - 140k TC earned per trip. I am unsure what our coin in per trip is, bankroll is 3-4k and we play anywhere from 8-10 hours a day and cycle through most, if not all, winnings.

    Luxor (home casino):
3Nights tower deluxe (host comps the 4th night for us)
    $200 FP
    $50 MLife resort credit
    Limo to/from airport

    Mandalay:
    3Nights
    $100RFL
Free tickets to a event (ie Madonna, Latin Grammy's etc.)
    Limo to/from airport

    Mirage
    3Nights one bedroom suite
    $400FP
    $500 MLife resort credit
    Limo to/from airport

After a lengthy call with VIP at the Mirage I was told that we definately put in the play for the current Mirage offer; which is a surprise to us as we never, in a million years, thought we put in the play for an offer of that substance judging by our home casino's offers.

I'm so confused... makes me think that my home casino is shortchanging me... Help! Are the Mandalay/Mirage offers just candy to get me there?? Or does our play warrant them?

We are platinum, but we make 4-6 trips a year and last year we were just over 700TC's. Tier shouldn't really matter as offers are generally based on play not tier from what I've understood.

Is the Mirage offer effective after October 1st? When did you get the Luxor offer?

I ask because I'm wondering if it ties into the October 1st program changes where they said offers would be more attractive. I have an MGM Grand offer that I received in September that's effective between Nov 1 2012 - April 30 2013 that well exceeds any previous offers I've had in the past:

Complimentary ALL NEW Grand Suite for Four Nights
$300 a day Resort Credit to be used on Dining, Spa, Entertainment, Nightlife, or Cabana
    Complimentary Limousine Service
Two Complimentary Tickets To Brad Garrett's Comedy Club
    $400 in FREEPLAY® Available

My previous best at MGM was 4 nights in suite, 100 a day and $350 freeplay with 2for1 tickets.

I have received all offers since October 1st; with exception the Madonna tickets were offered to me back in April but the Latin Grammy's and some Tennis tickets were offered since October 1st.

It is very confusing as these are very different offers based on the casino. Even my latest Birthday offer from the luxor is only $200 FP and $50 F&B.

those other casino offers are likely one time deals to try to get you to switch. based on how you describe your play it's way better than your play warrants. they will often throw things out there as new player promotions since you've never been there. take the Mirage offer, but don't expect the next Mirage offer to be that good.

So odd. My last trip in June I played two nights over at NYNY and they have been bombarding me with offers since. Decent ones too including New Years Eve and Birthday offers but nothing as good as MGM Grand which is my home casino. Maybe call the Luxor and see why the offers are less?

How many days is your usually trip? I only ask because I have about a 1.5 - 2K budget for 3 day trip and my current offers from Aria and Bellagio are
    3nts, 200 FP, and 100 F&B (total, not daily)
Being that Bellagio and Aria are well above Luxor, with your play, I would say switch.
BTW, those offers above are several into the relationship, Aria being my home casino currently (switched from Mirage a couple of years ago) and Bellagio having stayed once already.

We have stayed at the Mirage and Mandalay Bay in the past year, so if these are, indeed, candy to get me to stay at their casino again then I will definately take them up on it :D

Our trips vary from 3-4 days we budget 1k for each day we are there but as I said previously coin in varies pending on the playthrough. We also use 1 card despite having linked cards if that makes any difference. It's just these offers are steadily hitting my email and my corporate offer this time exceeds the Luxor offers I have received as well.

Short change is hard to say. I get wildly varied offers from different MGM properties.

This one is easy. Book the Mirage and don't look back.

I think the Mirage is just giving you a really good offer to get you in the door. I stayed there in March, but at the Bellagio last month, earned 180,000 tier credits. My recent Mirage offer is 3 nights in a Mirage suite, and $300 in both free play and rewards credits, and limo. The tower suites are awesome, take the offer.

I'm a low level player and Mirage is always showing up in my inbox, and I dont' think I even played there that much. Every month it's 1 night good until the February, and another offer that is 1 night, 2 for 1 buffet, $50 FP. MLife has been good to me....
