The past two years, I've done a countdown to Vegas on my various social media accounts. This year I'm posting the "50 Things I Still Haven't Done in Vegas, But Want To". This is being done to 1) Get myself pumped for the trip 2) Get others pumped for the trip 3) Possibly convince others to join us on the trip.

Obviously, this list will be different for everyone, but it's a good conversation piece... What would be on your Vegas first time to do list?

For the record, my list started off today with the Lion's Share machine at MGM.

Wait, do you want a list of things to do first time in Vegas, or things we want to do but have not yet?

No, not a first-timer's list. A list of things someone with multiple Vegas trips to their name still has not done, but wants to do.

My recent trip wiped out most of my list. The rest of it is mainly restaurants I want to try (I'm knocking off 1-2 per trip). Other than that:

    • There are a few of the Mirage headliner comedians I'd like to see (Ron White, Gabriel Iglesias), and the dates have never worked out.
    • Still some off-strip casinos I'd like to check out (GVR, Red Rock, M Resort).
    • I'd like to do some Vegas golfing.
    • I would have included seeing a Vegas 51s game, but now that they aren't the Jays farm team, maybe not anymore.
    • Hoover Dam tour.
    • Watch an implosion ...c'mon Harmon

Not sure if the below qualify, because they aren't things you can just decide to do, but:

    • I want to have one epic long craps roll where I make the whole table tons of money.
    • I want to win a high hand/ bad beat jackpot in the poker room.

    Overrated.

Also, be careful because the airport backscatter scanners can detect dead hobo residue. So opt for the groping instead.

    That's an important tip. Thanks.

The hoover dam trip is worth doing, but don't do it hungover. Just trust me on that.

And please call me when you're going to go on that craps run. I will fly out for it.

Someone already said it, but play a round of golf in Vegas. But first, I have to decide whether its worth the trouble lugging my clubs out, or even shipping them out, then back. Then I have to decide on whether $150+ for a round of golf is worth it or not.

I also want to see Valley of Fire, but think my trip next month it is going to happen.

One pipe dream is also to take a two week trip out to Vegas, and spend alot of time on the road and hit Cal Neva in Tahoe and a couple days in LA. This might have to wait awhile, I assume a trip like that won't be cheap.

I've been getting a ton of golf offers lately from NYNY. And I've never played golf out there.

I had "visit Fontana Lounge" on my list for the longest time. Over the course of 7-8 years, I took well over a dozen trips to Vegas; every time, I tried to go to Fontana, and it was closed. There was a poker tournament, or it was rented out for a private party, or it was being renovated, or something. Every single time. And now, well, so much for that.

I would like to take a drive out into the desert at night away from the vegas lights....and just look up at the clear sky full of stars. Hardly ever get to see them much here in the Atlanta suburbs..... I mean thousands of stars like I used to see on clear nights in northeastern Pennsylvania when I was a kid.
