I am seeing an under $120 a night deal (with Resort Fee) for the MGM Grand Executive Suites for the end of January. How are those rooms and how do they compare to a Mirage similar Room? They seem to be the best buys for the Middle class to Upper middle class hotels. I like Hiltons or Marriotts when I travel.

MGM has just been remodeled and the suites are great. no comparison to a Mirage regular room.

I feel very strongly about this, because we did this on back to back trips. Stayed with my wife in an MGM suite one trip, then the very next trip in a regular room at the Mirage. And this was before the suite renovations at MGM -- 2008 I think.

Bottom line, the MGM suite in a landslide.

Which are the "executive suites"? Are they the remodeled version of the old Bungalow Suites? If so, then I'd still vote for MGM, but not *quite* as strongly; those were basically just extra-large hotel rooms, and I always felt like "suite" was a bit of a misnomer. That being said, although I like the Mirage better as an overall property, but the MGM rooms are definitely superior.

I figure anytime you can snag a suite for cheap over a regular room, go for it. Especially since they are all brand new.

The executivr suites are the old Bungalow Suites.
These are not true suites in the sense of a seperate bedroom and living room.
