I just got the Free Cruise (Bahamas or Caribbean) offer if I stay 3 days in Las Vegas Dec 21-23. And bring a new rewards member for a complimentary stay and drawing entry for a free cruise to 100 winners. It is a hard time to get away. Just wondering if other here got the offer and where going on those dates?

Did not get that specific offer, but have done a few through NCL, and their Casinos at Sea group. they have a loose relationship with CET. You get cruise, but pay taxes and port charges, plus daily tip of $12 per person.

While playing in the casino, you get free drinks. Others have to pay.

Points do not transfer between programs.

I'm taking the cosmo up on an NCL offer this weekend.
Just says "up to seven nights, destination of your choice"
    We shall see....

I'm assuming I need to play off the offer before I can take
Additional comps. I wonder what hey value these cruise
    Offers at. Anyone....?

I got the offer. I'm thinking about it, but I hate traveling in the winter.

The cruise offers have been discussed on here several times. The NCL offers require you to pay port fees, taxes, and service charges. It makes it roughly $500 for a 7-night cruise for an inside room. You'll also be offered an upgrade to ocean view or balcony which would add to your price. Bottom line, if you were looking to go on a cruise anyway, this is a great discount.

I don't usually go anywhere except Las Vegas. Mostly because it is only a 2 1/2 hour drive and we can't be gone long. I did book Decemeber 21 for three days at Caesars. They gave me the Octavius tower again. That means I will be home for Christmas with my Grandbabies. I have never been on a cruise before. How much is all these fees going to cost? Is that the $500 for 7 nights?

It says we can bring a friend for a chance to win a cruise. I am not sure I know anyone that does not have a total rewards card.

I also got the offer. I would love to do it but have other obligations that weekend. Being from Jersey I go to the AC casinos alot and hit Vegas a few times a year. Anyone know how often or when they run this promotion in AC?

Mlife does these every so often. i got offered to go on an Alaska cruise over the summer by my host, but i was out of town that week. it was going to be a balcony room, everything paid for, free drinks in the casino, etc. they hope you'll gamble, but you don't have to do anything if you don't want. of course you still have to pay for your drinks onboard and any excursions.

however, depending on how much you gamble, they do comps like regular casinos. they will pick up some/all of your shipboard charges if your play warrants. however, the comp rate is very low and the games in the casino generally have really terrible rules and low limits. in order to get the limits increased, you have to setup a large marker account. they will let you bet up to 10% of your marker limit, so if you have a 30k line, you can bet up to 3k/hand.

i would have taken the free cruise just for a vacation, but as far as gambling goes, i'll stick with Vegas (or the Beau for certain events).

@cinnament - we will be there for the cruise week-end although you really rate since you can stay at Caesars! We will be at Bally's or Rio - still deciding. Our kids are all grown and no grandkids yet, so we can actually make it that week-end.
We got one last year too and had a blast. I would totally recommend going out of New Orleans since they will put you up at Harrah's or one of their partner hotels and NOLA is a great place. I still can't decide if I liked the cruise or the city best. What everyone else said is true - you will need to pay port fees, tips and any upgrades - did they give you a balcony or inside? We cruised to Costa Maya, Belize, Roatan and Cozumel. Tons of fun and yes, drinks are free in the casino!!
PS - I am laketimeAz on TA - I don't post as much as I used to there but have been hanging around for a long time.

Thanks for all the help. That answered alot of my questions. It should be alot of fun. It does say a inside. Oh well! I have alot of animals so that why it is hard to get away for me. I need a house sitter experience in horses, livestock and poultry.

I have no idea why I am getting all the perks. I just think I found some slots that I can run up alot of points. A little luck, a little smarter, a little more territorial and quick on the trigger. This is the first time I have not been Gold. Most of my play is at Caesars and Rio. Alot of my offers are only from Caesars with the upgraded rooms.

I still cant figure out why they give some people comps and not others. I am planning my daughter Wedding next Month. We are trying to get the whole wedding party at Caesars. I got the Octavius tower with $300 in food credit. I am Diamond with 14853 Tier Credits. My daughter was comped the Augustus tower with 250 tier credits. The maid of honor was comped the Palace tower with 95 tier credits. My husband has 9,750 tier credits and can't get a room other than the friends and family for $155 a night. I not sure if he can get it since the cheap tower is sold out. He never gets any good offers.

I hear ya cinnament - we were having this conversation on another board too. Some people recently got "gifted" some tier credits, which I did not. Lots of people got good freeplay offers this year, which I did not. But I am at 9600 pts with 9 or so trips this year, so I am getting my money's worth in room comps, airfare ect...so I am still pretty happy with CET. It is hard to figure out their methods and I would not even know what everyone else was getting if I would just stay off the boards!!
I have one old cat that I try to keep healthy so I can get away without a pet sitter for at least a couple days at a time. My last kid just moved out so I am determined to have a good time before the grand kids come!! Sounds like long trips can get pretty expensive for you with all the pet care though.
I figure that we cannot pass up a "free" cruise and even with the upgrades it is a pretty good deal. We upgraded to a balcony and loved just hanging out in our room (and at the casino of course!)

I think my husband is very pissed. My host was not of any help. Just said how valuable the room I was getting. It makes no since for him to keep putting money into CET if he get no benefits. Just last week he put 2,080 tier credits on his card. But can't get a free room. We play mostly penny machines at $6 bet. Even though our cards are not linked, it seems like they are. I think he is going to make diamond, then go else where. I even question, what is the point since we are always together anyway. We are going to put the rest of the wedding party at Bellagio. I am glad we spread some of our play around and still have offers other places. The wedding is very stressful to me and I am grumpy that they make things harder on us.

I am looking forward of the cruise though. I have been looking at the different ships on line. Wouldn't that be funny if we all booked the same cruise. I still don't have anyone that wants the free rooms Dec 21.

When you guys are referencing $500 for cost is that per person or is that a combined total for two people?

If I did hit one of the cruise promos up at some point I would just want a reference point since I would probably be traveling alone.

wow jgates - there is another good example of "what are they thinking"?! It's hard to understand how you did not get the cruise offer. So hard to figure CET out - better luck next year.
I think our charge to upgrade to a balcony was $250.00 and then port fees and tips were on top of that. It may have been more than $500. a piece; hard to remember anymore.
I don't blame your hubby for being frustrated cinnament - seems like they just try to antagonize sometimes. I hope your wedding goes beautifully and no more frustrations - only joy :)

The $500 estimate I mentioned is based per room. Remember, cruises don't cater to single travellers, if you're going solo, you're paying for two. NCL does have studio rooms for single travellers on their Epic megaship, but you'd have to check if your cruise offer includes the Epic.

I got the Cruise offer today. I won't be taking it. I've been getting these offers for several years but never took it. Either last year or the year before my brother got the offer and was thinking of taking it. he got it priced and found out that the exact same trip he had take the year before, same accommodations the taxes/port charges were about $300 more than what he paid the prior year. He asked why but they couldn't give him a good answer.
My guess is that they were basing this on a much higher listed rate than what his discounted cruise cost.

I'm not sure how the Harrah's offer works, but I realized booking through CAS (Norwegian's Casino group) that they don't charge me the single supplement. So for my next comped cruise, I am upgrading to a balcony as is my friend, and we have connecting rooms for the same price as if we shared a room. I think we are in for @ $350 each for 2 rooms, 2 balconies and best of all, 2 bathrooms.

I did get one for earlier this summer (end of July?). But appears it would still be a bit of an expensive vacation for me when I added in airfare to port too.

    Set Sail Cruise giveaway

I got what I think is a great offer in the mail and I didn't see any threads on it. A free Norwegian cruise for two and 4 free days in vegas. Did anyone else get this offer?

From what property? I've gotten an offer in the past from different CET casinos but have never been able to pick it up.

Took a NCL cruise a couple years ago and many we met in the casino were on a free ride.
