does anyone know the formula to calculate tier score in CET domain playing baccarat ? since i'll far exceed the Platinum requirement at MGM (but fall far short of Noir), i'm considering splitting my play between the 2.
Your post is a bit confusing. Tier score is based on your total play, which is then added to your previous tier score. You earn tier points based on your play. Your play it self does not equate to Gold or Diamond. For example, if you are at 10,900 and stopped into play Bac for a few hours, you would be at Diamond. If you are at 4,500 at CET... it would take a ton of play to get to 11,000 or Diamond. As you look at CET vs MGM, keep in mind that 98% of all offers are based on your average play and NOT on your tier level.
i don't think the post is confusing, the OP wants to know the theo or avg bet to TC calculation for Bacc at CET casinos. i pulled this from another post a while back regarding BJ, but BJ and Bacc generally have very close to the same theo calculations. so it looks like if you play $100 avg bet, it would take 73.3 hours of play to make diamond. at $500 avg that goes down to under 15 hours, which could be done in a weekend.
What shifter said sounds about right. As a diamond level player at CET and a Plat level player at MGM I'd stick with MGM. The comps are shockingly worse at CET for whatever reason.
I think maybe that assumption for $25 hand bac is a little low. I played craps for 7 hrs @ $60 and earned 1000 points. Since craps earns at the slowest pace, or so I've heard, I would think Bac would give you more than 150 points for 4 hours.
I dropped in and played a little on my last trip a couple weekends ago. I earned 1530 TIER credits with the play below. My host gave me my play breakdown. I feel like the pit bosses put me in for a lower average but whatever. Total hours played per trip : 7 hrs 34 min Total Average Bet per trip : $146 per bet Tier Credits earned: 1530 If my math is correct, you need about 54 hours at $146 to get to diamond.
This is pretty close to my original suggestion that BJ play earns about 1.5 tier credits per dollar per hour. (With that math kman008 would have earned 1.5*7.5*146=1642 credits.) It also confirms shifter's belief that BJ is rated similar to baccarat--while the house advantage is smaller on BJ if played correctly, it is also a much faster game and there are usually far more decisions per hour than there are in baccarat. The 54 hours @ $146 at baccarat to get to diamond also sounds correct.
Platinum seems almost worthless, but Diamond gives some real tangible benefits, particularly the free cocktails at Diamond lounges, private registration, and line cutting all over the place. Room upgrades also seem more routine with CET Diamond than MGM Plat.
