Would be interested in hearing about times when you were asked to leave the tables. Maybe you increased your action and the casino got nervous. Have you ever scored a big win and the casino asked you to leave after your score?

My buddy and I were playing on a $25 table (we were the only two playing at the table). The dealer had a 6 up and my buddy took a hit and busted. Of course he took the dealer's bust card. I lost. I asked him why he took the card and he told me to "shut the f*ck up". The pitboss told him if he used that language again he would be asked to leave. lol

In 1993, I fancied myself a pretty good blackjack player, taught myself how to count, practiced at home for more than 6 months, did all the proper research (Thorpe, Wong, Curtis, Carlson, etc). Went to Vegas with intent of playing part time 20 hours a week and making small profit. Thought I would start out small, doing $10 base bets, with 4x increases when count was right. I didn't think anyone would pay attention to such low numbers and choice Circus Circus again thinking no one would think a counter would play at CC. After about 2 hours of playing solo and keeping decent count, bouncing between $10 and $40, pit came over, pushed my bet back and said, "You're done for the day". I was so naive at time, I was like "Really" and he smiled and said "Really". I left but seems like nothing was recorded as I have played many times different places. Long story short, counting just wasn't for me, hard hard work. Plus you can't drink or even have time to flirt with the cocktail servers! :D

    Two times for me.

Last time we were at the Palazo the only $10 table we could find was Spanish 21. We both bought in for $40 each and had a little luck. After playing for less than a half hour these two guys sat at the table. I asked them if they knew the proper basics of Spanish 21 and they said they did. They seemed to be doing pretty well and whenever I had a hand that was in doubt in my mind, I would ask them what to do and they would make recommendations.

We got pretty lucky and when I’m lucky I bet progressively hard. It wasn’t too long and we had ran our combined original bet of $80 to well over $3,000. I only had about 3 or 4 beers and the wife was on her very first one, yes it was early. I had to use the restroom and my wife says that she would go too. Now, when I get back to the table, the pit critter is in the isle and tells me, no more playing. I then ask him why is that? He says, your wife has had too much to drink. I then inform him that she hasn’t even had one full beer yet. He says, sorry.

When my wife made it back to the table, I told her we had to leave and I would explain why later. We both color up and while the guy is still there, I ask the dealer, how many drinks has my wife had, to which she replies, that’s her first one. The boss just looks at me and shakes his head as if to say no more, period.

We picked up our chips and I asked to speak to him alone for a second. He comes out of the pit and I ask him, really, why is this happening? He says, when your wife came out of the women’s bathroom, security said she looked confused and didn’t even know which way our table was. I told him that’s probably true because she does get confused in new casinos, but she is not drunk by any means. He agreed that she wasn’t drunk, but, it was securitys decision and that was final. I’ll never go back there. :nono:

The first time I was asked to leave was about 30 years ago. I was at the Las Vegas Club and was up well over $1,000 from a $20 buy in. The pit boss told me that was it for the night as far as gambling and to come back tomorrow if I want. I was drunk and happily left with a pocket full of money. Went back the next day and the pit boss came over and asked if I’d stashed some of the money. I told him yes and he said good for you.

I've never been backed off, but the casino once ran off a craps player that threw a drink at me (I think she was ready to go regardless ). And I was with a friend once who had been up for over 30 hours and was drunk off his ass. I had actually gone to bed and still found him up the next morning shooting craps. I still have no idea why the craps dealers didn't back him off, but they seemed happy that I was making him go upstairs and get some sleep

I have been backed off on 21 tables twice.

Fitzgeralds - 2002. Playing a $10.00 min double deck pitch game. Playing on a table where the dealer was dealing DEEP, not the 52 card cut stuff, was simply keeping a basic count and would press 5X when count was juicy. Won about 2.5K over the course of about 3 hours of play.

Very nice floor supervisor came around the table and leaned in and said, "Mr. P., while we appreciate your action, you are just too good for us".. He told me I was welcome to shoot dice, play roulette or any other game of my choice, just no more 21 for the remainder of my visit. ( I was at Fitzgeralds on a marketing offer)

2nd time - Native American casino in upstate NY. ( 2006 ??, can't remember)This joint had a single deck game in their high limit pit. $100.00 min, 1K max. Rules were pretty good ( dealer hit S17, they allowed double after split)

Bought in for 1K. Quickly ramped that up to about 6K. Myself and another player who after the first 30 minutes started mimicking my bets, were alone at the table.

The floor supervisor began having the dealer shuffle the deck the minute I increased my bet from the minimum. After the dealer did this twice, I decided it was time to go. Colored up for just under 7K. All in all a good session.

This particular casino no longer offers this single deck game, as I later learned from a friend who is employed there that the first few months they offered this game, it changed the hold significantly. Counters were coming out of the woodwork taking advantage of inexperienced dealers and supervisory staff.

I think that sucks when your winning and they tell you to go. They would never think about that if you were losing your mortgage payment.

It's another in a long list of reasons why I'm sick and tired of gambling. They play you for such a fool and yet you keeping right back.

It remind of the scene in Vegas Vacation where the guy says why don't you give the money and I'll kick you in the balls.

Gambling for a while was a very intriguing thing especially because I love the history and sociology of it, but enough is enough. The games besides a hot craps table aren't even that fun.

In the course of over 20 years I have never been asked to leave a table, because of my behavior or because I was up too much - and there have been a few times when I was up over $100K and still not asked to leave.

Never been asked to leave, but I have had people thrown off craps tables (usually for interrupting the game).

I've seen people thrown off the table for cursing after many warnings. Even really drunk I'd be scared after being quietly warned by one of those old time mobster boxmen.

lol, I saw someone try to do this once at a Bellagio craps table. It was a saturday morning. he was obviously a regular, knew all the dealers. But he wasn't nearly the player he made himself out to be. He was betting $25 on the line and complaining that a young girl was too slow shooting and should be kicked off the table. She wasn't particularly slow and the dealers happily ignored him

Ok funny story time. I was at Dakota Magic casino once for a co workers wife's 30th surprise birthday party. The girls had taken her to go on a shopping trip in Fargo and then said let's stop into the casino on the way home and that's we're we were all waiting.
Fast forward threw the night and myself birthday girl, two other girls with us, and a few random people were playing blackjack. The table was having a great time and was well under the influence. The only problem was that we were all losing. All of the sudden the girls start yelling that they need "Jack" for good luck. So birthday girl open her purse and pull out ( trying to think of a way to write this without getting in trouble) a large rubbery replica of a male body part. Apparently the had visited the adult store while they were in Fargo. Everyone at the table busted out laughing. Even the dealer couldn't keep a straight face. We're dealt cards, dealer busts everyone wins. Birthday girl took "Jack" twirls him high in the air and screams JACK. Deal Agian we win Agian. Same thing twirl scream. It was hilarious. Well the pit boss comes over to the table and says that people are complaining about "Jack" and that it needs to be put away. She takes the thing and goes around the table and says to everyone. "Did you complain about jack" and points and wobbles it at their face as she asked. Everyone said they didn't complian. But when she asked the pit boss the same question and shook "jack" about three inches from his face she was asked to leave the table and also cut off for the night.
Funny thing is I was talking with birthday girl about my upcoming trip to Vegas the other day and she asked if I wanted to take "Jack" for good luck.

If you've ever thought anyone at a vegas craps table was bad, don't ever play craps in colorado. We went up the other night for my birthday. Best table on earth, in theory...$1 minimum, 25x odds. But max bet is $100 (colorado law.)

But good lord, the players are all basically retarded. And the crew isn't always much better. It's the slowest game known to man. And I was winning. I can't imagine how bad it would be if it was losing. The CW didn't come by for the first 45 minutes.

On a positive note, I had a promo chip offer -- went to the cage to cash it, and they didn't have promo chips. So they paid it in cash.

In retrospect, there were a number of times that I wished they had thrown me off the craps table.

This happened to me 4 times back in the late 80's and early 90's.

Was literally escorted out of O'Sheas back when it was run by the mob. Caught the BJ dealer, who was all of 4' tall, using the mechanics grip on the cards, reading the pips, and pulling back the top card to deal the second. Obviously this is a face up game and I caught her doing this 4 times.
I strongly complained and threatened to call the police (didn't know about the gaming commishion at the time). Long story short, I was escorted out the casino.

Got caught counting cards at Circus Circus and was asked to leave after making a few hundred easy bucks one day.

Was asked to leave the BJ table at Harrah's after becoming somewhat intoxicated and screaming at the guy on 3rd base accusing him of being a 'plant' by the casino. He broke every bj rule out there and it pissed me off, so I yelled at him more than once.

Was comped off the BJ table at Trashy Castle just after it opened. Was doing great counting cards and winning, the pit boss wanted me to leave and bought my lunch!

I've never been asked to leave but I was playing craps witha guy in Laughlin and he was so drunk he couldnt get the dice past the prop bets on the felt. After 3 attempts they had security take him to his room. He was too drunk to even put up a fight.

I wish it were a better story:

Was playing craps at Aria. As usual, I was playing mostly darkside. Well, it was CES season and a group of three ladies that, I think, worked for some divison of AT&T were playing at the same table. I'm standing right of the stick and the three of them are at the end of the table on my side. The table gets cold, I make some nice money, and everyone leaves except me and the three ladies. Now of the three of them only one of them was betting (an older lady). She was incredibly drunk and as the dice make it to their end of the table, she convinces her friends to shoot. The two other ladies take turns shooting and both seven out without making a point. Each time they seven out, the older lady says something snide to me. As usual for the darkside bettor, I keep quiet and collect my winnings. Then the dice get to the older lady.

She says something about showing me how its done and how I am going to pay her all my money. She then proceeds to seven out immediately. I collect my winnings and the dice come to me. The older lady is the only person who puts down a bet (pass line) so I decide to shoot from the don't. Normally, I won't do that if there are other people at the table, but if its only me (or maybe one other person playing) I will do it. She sees me bet the don't and doubles down. I establoish a point and then seven out immediately. The older lady goes ballistic. She shouts an obscenity at me, reaches under the table to the drink ledge, and hurls a small glass of soemthing at me. Smacked me right in the shoulder! I was stunned. The stickman says she will have to leave and she started running away while her two friends watched in silence. One of the dealers started laughing and I asked if they were going to do anything about what just happened. They said no, she's gone (have never seen that dealer again at Aria; part of me hopes its because I complained to a floor supervisor about him laughing at me).

Strange coda to the story: the next day I am walking through Aria and the older lady comes up to me. She apologizes very quickly and says it was all in good fun (really? I think she meant it was good fun for her). Then she tries to tell me how I should buy AT&T Uverse for my office. Um......no
