I am going to Vegas later this month (Thur-Mon). A certain comp website allowed me to book a offer for a comped room at one property for Thur, Fri and Sat night and another offer for a comped room at a different property for Sunday night.

Will this work or am I at risk at losing one or the other???

Sorry, but I don't understand the question. If they "allowed" the comp at one property and specifically said you could use a comp at another, what's the problem?

I always thought for some reason that you weren't able to book back to back offers for the same company even though it is different properties.

Even though the website "allowed" me to do it, I don't want to show up and somehow not have the 3 night offer valid due to some "breaking of the rules" for lack of a better term...

I see your point. They usually specify an elapsed time between using back to back offers at the SAME property, but I've never heard of that applying to different properties. I've used offers at different Boyd/Coast properties many many times, as I will again in a few weeks. If it gives makes you more comfy, you could call the hotel and likely get a policy clarification without even having to give your name. Have a great trip!

Folks here would LOVE to help you.

But, you need to help us help you first.

What company/website are you talking about?

I think I just answered my own question LOL

Just read the fine print where it says "three night minimum stay required"

    Oooops!

A minimum stay requirement doesn't necessarily have anything to do with using back-to-back offers at different properties. And be advised, exceptions when requested are not unheard of!

I called VIP services and they said staying 1 night is no problem. Done!

The question about back to back comps comes up once a week. And everytime, the responses are mixed.

We never have a problem with back to back bookings. Back to back deals are another thing. For example, Bellagio might offer suite and some freeplay. Mirage also offers it. We can book Bellagio, but Mirage will only do a room because we are doing an offer at Bellagio.

Of course, there are lots of variables based on your play level.

Back to the first situation, have you considered just asking the first hotel with the 3 nights if they will comp the 4th - and avoid a move?

The one thing I would make sure and do is call and verify your booking. You don't even have to call VIP services and risk raising a red flag or anything, just call the regular number and give them your confirmation number. When first booking our last trip (that we ended up canceling) we booked an offer at Mirage and then a few days later called and booked an offer at Mandalay for the 3 days leading up to our Mirage booking. The lady on the phone didn't indicate any problem, she made the reservation and even gave me a confirmation number. A few weeks later I got some different offers and called to check on my Mandalay reservation and it was nowhere to be found. Some checking by the rep on the phone revealed that the reservation was canceled by them shortly after I hung up. The part that pissed me off about the whole thing was that I got no notification whatsoever about the cancellation. It's not like MLife doesn't have at least 2 email addresses and 2 phone numbers between me and my wife. If we hadn't called to check then we would have gotten to Vegas and not had rooms for those nights. And even the best they could offer us as a consolation was rack right (should have been casino rate at the very least). :grrr:

I had booked a comp offer for free night at the Monte Carlo, then got a better deal for the same period at the MGM Grand, so I booked that.

Immediately after hanging up the phone from that, the person I had talked to at MGM called me and told me that I needed to cancel the Monte Carlo one, since no other comp offers were allowed in the group within 72 hours of each other (which is fine, since I was going to do that anyway, I just wanted to make the MGM reservation to make sure I could get it before potentially cancelling the MC one only to find MGM wasn't available on those dates).

I am going to call and verify the reservation for the first location and probably just end up cancelling the second and do just that. Even if I have to pay for the Sunday night up front ($70) I can probably get it comped on the back end.
