Favorite Las Vegas Hotel/Casino

What is your favorite Las Vegas hotel/casino....you can only pick one and tell us why it is your favorite.

 

I like a whole lot of Hotel/Casinos but I'll pick Orleans.

Fun Craps tables.

Good choices for dining. Many options also.

Many different and Fun Slot machines.

Good looking CW's and drink service. (At the tables, not so much at the machines...)

When I get bored or lose too much I can go bowling, see a movie, or catch the shuttle to the Strip and see if my luck changes there.

I dunno, the Orleans seems to have confidence in who they are, what they offer, and couldn't give a rat's ass if you like it or not.

They don't try to be all things to all people and that's fine by me.

 

If this was three months ago, I would say TheHotel, then Aria and Monte Carlo. However, with the changes of Mlife and MGM, I reconsider. I'm now looking for a new favorite and it might be either V/P or even downtown (four queens or MSS).

 

Wynncore without a doubt. We have found the service to be superb, the booze to be free-flowing, the rooms to be the comfiest we've found in town, and the restuarants excellent. It's also right across the street from the only other casino we give any serious play to, which also has great restaurants.

 

Right now, I guess I'd have to go with Aria - but that could all change after my stay at Palazzo next month - I've been very lucky at the Palazzo lately, but this will be our first time actually staying there.

It used to be Wynn, but they lost that place in my heart about two years ago - when they started caring more about filling their excess room capacity with clubbers than they cared about having the best restaurant lineup in town anymore.

Of course, if it was still there, my vote would be for the Desert Inn

 

I have to agree on the Orleans. It has pretty good games, good selection of restaurants, other stuff to do if I need a break from the casino. It also has a good shuttle that runs between Orleans, Gold Coast and Bills on the strip. Pretty much a everything I need (though I do wish they would put the 9/6 quarter JoB back in)

 

The M Resort, hands down.

 

No surprise for me... it's the Hard Rock. I've had the opportunity to stay at most of the major properties over the years and elected couple years ago to pick one and concentrate my stay/play there. Since I'm there mostly for business, I prefer the off-strip location and ease of getting in and out of the place quickly, which is tough to do at the big joints.

I love the energy the place exudes, particularly these days when they're hitting their stride again, with substantial investment back into the place. I know there seems to be no middle ground for this place, most reviewers either love it or hate it. The comfort of their HRH Suites Tower and a staff that treats me like a king make it my "go to" spot 50-60 nights a year.

 

Cosmo all the way.
It's a fun and energetic property crawling with gorgeous ladies. It's got a few really terrific restaurants. The dealers are really fun and know me by name. The staff have all been wonderful. The rooms are amazing, have beautiful views, and the balconies are such a great feature. I don't stay there all the time because it costs more than other places (some of which will comp me), but removing cost from the equation there's no debate for me.

 

Monte Carlo, I just do. Wait. It feels really grounded to the ground.

MGM Grand. I was tempted to choose Cosmopolitan because I love the vibe and so many beautiful women there. Awesome hotel room. MGM Grand is my favorite. It's the one place I must play every single time I'm in Vegas. Beautiful women at MGM too! Especially after a fight or huge event. Love that place.

 

I would say NYNY.
They seem to have the most variety of new machines.
Close to other casinos for variety.
Easy access to rooms.
Plenty of food choices.
With that said I hate the bathroom configurations in the room.

 

For us it's MSS. Love downtown and the and ability to run in and out of the casinos. Each casino has somthing we like so if i'm playing cards at Binions my wife can chase a duces wild progressive at the Nugget. The restaurant choice are a plenty and when we had enough noise we'll head back to MSS for some vp before calling it a night. We like to hit the off strip casinos so getting in and out of MSS and getting on and off 95 makes all this easy. It works for us.

I'll cast a vote for Planet Hollywood. Great for the younger crowd but without the pretentious vibe that Cosmo/Wynncore exude with their clubs since I'm not into that scene. I love the choices for eating and drinking in the Miracle Mile shops, Earl of Sandwich is my favorite drunk food, and I love to have a drink and take in the view from the pedestrian bridge between PH and Aria. I also don't mind walking at all so Planet Hollywood is walking distance to just about anywhere on the strip to me. I spend time in probably 10 or so properties every trip so it isn't like I hang out there all day. But as far as a home base goes, I can't complain about PH at all.

My home casino has been NYNY for years now because they treat me very well and I feel comfortable there. But it's getting a little stale there.
We are staying at Bellagio for the first time ever in a few weeks in a 2 bdrm penthouse and are REALLY looking forward to it! Don't dissapoint me B!!!

 

Mine is the Monte Carlo! I have also stayed in Mandalay Bay in an absolutely fabulous suite and the Excalibur, so that is what I'm comparing the MC too. The location is superb and the tram to Belagio and Aria are perfect. We enjoy balancing out our expensive, indulgent meals with the food court ---my husband drools over the thought of the breakfast burritos at Rubio's (LOL, I know) and talks about them constantly. The rooms at Monte Carlo are "tired" but I have found them to be clean. theirs beds comfy and their elevator fast.

Though our room was extremely nice at Mandalay Bay (I'm talking huge bath tub in the middle of the bathroom and tvs built into the bathroom mirror), it took forever to walk anywhere else and all the food options seemed expensive, high-end and sit-down.

I visited the Excalibur once with a big group of girls in college (circa 2004) and it was perfect for my first Vegas trip when I didn't know any better but seems a little "campy" to me now. As a spry 21 year old, it was nothing then to walk miles upon miles in heels . . . . how the heck did I do that?

 

I would think "Zamboni" would have the same pick as me, Orleans, since they have a hockey team

 

I would never spend my whole trip there, because I prefer to be downtown or off strip most of the time, but for one night, I'd have to pick the Cosmopolitan. The rooms are fantastic, and the terraces are unmatched in any room mere mortals can afford. Down in the casino the vp paytables are about what you'd expect for the strip, but the drinks and drink service are much better. Get a fountain view terrace, it's amazing! The restaurants I have tried there have also been quite good, with Holteins ranking in the top 5 for burgers and Wicked Spoon in the top 3 for buffets.

Where do I stay the most? MSS and Orleans.
