We'll be arriving at Bally's around midnight on Saturday and I expect we will be starving. We won't be looking for gourmet - just want to fill our tummies before we settle in for a few hours of gambling and drinking. I know one option is next door at Bill's but I was wondering if there will be a long wait at that time. I also like the sound of $2 tacos but I cam't figure out if they are available all the time, or are they a happy hour thing? Am I missing another good choice? I would love suggestions!

If I were you, I'd take a short walk down the strip (South) to Planet Hollywood and hit up Earl of Sandwich. Great sandwiches, fast and cheap. The brownie ice cream sandwiches make a great dessert.

If you want a hilarious story/experience, go to "The Happiest Place On Earth"....I stayed at Bally's in April, I was 'overly-refreshed' one night and walked over there - (Go out the doors by the pool in Bally's, and cross the street ) $2.50 for a bottle of beer and a decent size hotdog... I remember it being delicious LOL (but I was verrrry overly refreshed).

DEFINITELY not gourmet... but its an option... haha
Otherwise hit up Earl's for sure!

The taco & tequila place in Bally's is very decent grub. They have late night specials like steak and eggs too. You could walk thru the short mall to Paris and try Cafe St Louis.

Last time at Bally's I believe Sbarros pizza (down the escaltors in the food court) was now open 24/7.

Great suggestions! I am a big fan of Earl but after 10+ hours of travel I think we will be happier staying closer. There will be Earl sandwiches consumed at some point for sure! I am happy to know that the taco place is open all night and I think that will be my first choice - cheap, convenient & tequila :) We can hit the ground running!

I must find this Happiest Place on Earth at some point, too. I'll be at Paris at the end of the month & will check out Cafe St Louis then.

On my last solo trip I wandered down to Sbarro in the wee hours & it was the only time I have ever been nervous in Vegas. It was a ghost town down there! Never again :)

The $2 Tacos aren't on the menu, so just grab a seat at the bar, grab a drink and ask your bartender. Awesome tequila selection!

Tequila Bar and Grill at Ballys is awesome. $2 tacos, margaritas, tequila shots...They also have a very good burger. This is usually one of my first meals in vegas.

It's right across from the lounge and next to the escalators to the shops.

Beside the Sidewalk Cafe. We didn't realize they had such a big menu, price was reasonable and the food was good until the last day. They do a lot of "regular" food and all day breakfast.

Tonight is the night! Leaving here around 4 and picking up my 2 friends. Our flight leaves just before 8 and I am hoping to be checking in by midnite if luggage & the rental car are cooperative. I am already in the mood for a taco and a shot :)

I know! It is creepy down there in the middle of the day. I would never go down by myself in the early am or late at night.

It's a weird waste of space. They used to have slot machines down there at least, so at least they had some employees working down there, but now, nothing. Yikes

I would suggest Victorian Room inside Bills. 24 hr, quality late night specials, and an easy walk from the exit doors by Bally reservation desk and across Flamingo to rear entrance of Bills. Use crosswalk, not the bridge at strip
