Is it okay to play at a different MLife property if you were given free rooms from corporate advertisement? For instance, if you were comped at the Mirage and played at the Bellagio, would the casino not offer you more comps? I'm only talking about MLife properties.

    Thanks.

This has been answered a few times. The general believe is if you are offered by marketing only and not a HOST... you can play anywhere. Now, the reason you are offered a room at a certain Hotel is because they feel your level of play is what they are trying to attract. So if you go elsewhere and play same amount, you may still get the comp option at that casino if you are playing within MGM, but don't expect to get anything more and there is a possibility you may eventually lose that option.

Now, if you are using a host. I would strongly recommend NOT playing anywhere else as they expect you to play majority at your home casino.

I know you said MGM only ... but at CET it means much less where you play at. I generally play downtown but give some play to CET and little to MGM and still get free room offers from both properties as well as downtown.

Do you have to pay the resort fee for the comped rooms?

    It depends on the property.
    Some will still charge it.
Other times it will say they will on the offer, but they don't.
    And some won't even bother.
Just read the offer and if there's doubt just call them.

The first time I stayed at NYNY on a comp I had to pay the resort fees with points I have earned. Since then I book thru my host and have never had to pay them.

Like they said, depends on the property.

Example: NYNY won't ever comp resort fees unless you are booking through their HOST. They tell you it will be waived based on play at the end. MGM however, comp's all fees on comped rooms. This was my deciding factor on which to choose. Sure, ill make enough comps to cover the fees at the end, but those are MY COMPS to use LOL.
