I'm planning to take my brother to Las Vegas for a long weekend in December to celebrate his upcoming wedding. I'm looking for a suite but it seems most have king beds and I need two beds. I've found a deal on a 2 bed suite at TheHotel which seems to fit the bill very well. Only problem is the location at the south end of the Strip. I will have a car but still prefer a more central location. Aside from the Venetian/Palazzo are there any suite or large hotel rooms that have 2 beds? Thanks!
the reason there aren't many suites with 2 beds is because who wants to pay all that money for a suite and then share a room with somebody else???? either do it right and get a 2BR suite so you each can have your own room, or just get 2 connecting rooms.
I prefer Caesar's August tower rooms to THEhotel suites. That is strictly speaking in terms of the room itself. Give them a try.
Winstoda, I am unsure of your budget bu you could try Jockey Club if you are looking to save some bucks.
Ive got this same issue - often going to Vegas with a buddy and we want more than the standard room but dont need to be paying for the 2 bedroom Penthouses! MGM Grand has some new "Executive Queen Suites" but I doubt they are much more than an oversized regular room.
This is a common question. Reality is that almost all suites come with a king bed. Also, many of the entry level suites are really just a larger room, they are NOT what some call a suite. Two guys off the Vegas. Cool. Unless you are planning to bring back guests, spend your money elsewhere, or get two rooms nearby or adjoining. Whatever you do find, if a suite, make sure you see the layout first. Don't spend lots of money and then be surprised when you get there. And, get a hotel where you want to be, and don;t plan too much about driving.
PH Towers 1 bedroom suite is very large with many amenities. It has a king in the bedroom and a very nice Queen pullout in the living room. Also not too pricey. The MGM Executive Queen room that was previously mentioned isn't a bad choice, but yes it is one big room as oppose to two.
THEhotel and Venetian are good options. Also Vdara (in the 1 bedrooms) and Trump have sofa beds. The first 2 are a slightly better bet because they have casinos and amenities, but the rooms are much larger at the latter 2 If you have more than 2 people or you aren't a couple... Not going to get 2 rooms with a girl friend... and I slept on the couch at the Trump this weekend with my parents. 2 bedroom suites and 2 rooms isn't cost effective unless it's a super cheap weekend.
I had this same problem on my last trip to vegas. Not sure of your budget but you have several options. The 2 bedroom Suites at Mirage offer 1 king bed and 2 queens. The Penthouses at Bellagio come in 1 king and 2 queens. MGM Grand has Skylofts with several beds and layouts. Hotel 32 also has 2 bedroom penthouses with 2 kings. Aria has skysuites with several beds. We chose a penthouse in Bellagio and it worked fine. It was comped so I can't really talk about how much it will cost.
Thanks all. I ended up finding a great deal for the new Executive Queen Suite at MGM. I realize it's not a true suite but I think it will serve our purposes well and I like the location much more than TheHotel. The reservation can be cancelled without penalty so I will look into all of your suggestions as well. Thanks again!
You can look at a Panoramic Suite at Planet Hollywood. The standard one has 1 king bed, but you can get a 2 bedroom one as well. You won't be disappointed, and its in a great location.
yes, i can understand that girls would prefer to share a room than have separate rooms, but for guys i wouldn't even consider sharing a room unless it's an absolute last resort. but 2 regular rooms vs a true suite is almost always cost effective. usually a suite can run at least 3-4x as much as a regular room, so 2 rooms is still half the price. but i'm talking about true suites with a separate living room and bedroom. of course the larger rooms that they're calling "suites" these days are different.
