What is the highest quality and or most expensive beer you have been served on the regular floor of a casino? What have you asked for and been turned down? What was offered instead?
You can ask for whatever and typically will receive a Sam Adams, Blue Moon or once in awhile Fat Tire at Cosmo. I have also been offered Heineken or Amstel.
I stayed at PH in April and consumed I would say 100 New Castle's. I know they had it at PH and Caesars some of the lower quality properties didn't have New Castle so I had to go with Bud Light.
the most expensive doesnt mean the best quality. When you think about it, bud would probably be the best quality. They sell millions of gallons every year and they all taste the same and no one gets sick from bacteria. If you ask me, thats pretty good quality control.
Cosmo has/had a beer menu at their VP bars with a very decent selection. From the CWs, Sierra Nevada or Fat Tire are often available. Sam Adams is next on my list and Newcastle if all else fails.
The best beer available on the casino floor in Vegas is the house brew of Main Street Station! I generally go for a Black Chip Porter unless I'm on the 777 side of the casino and they have something special on the seasonal taps. They often have some very nice, very potent Belgian style ales over there. Orleans has/had Fat Tire and yes, the list at Cosmo is pretty good too. The problem with the Cosmo beer list is that there's a cocktail list with it too, and I'm hooked on their Velvet Mojitos!
I've had Sierra Nevada comped in the poker room at the MGM. But I've also asked for it and been turned down, so I think it's hit and miss. That's probably my favorite that I've found.
I asked for whatever dark beer they have at TI last time and was given a NewCastle. Not really "dark" in my opinion but it made me a fan. On another note -- I asked for a Shiner Bock once in Mirage, forgetting I wasn't home in Texas and the CW looked at me as if I had a huge booger coming out of my nose. She had no idea what I was even talking about.
My two favorite's are sammy smith's at the M and Main Street Station microbrews. Sammy smith's is not something they generally give out, but I was playing big and the CW was kind enough to get me one from the beer bar.
Sierra Nevada! Thank you all for giving me one more that I can ask for and may actually have a shot at getting. I usually ask for Sam Adams nowadays just because that's the one that's mostly attainable and above the Bud/Miller/Heineken level of taste.
A lot of Sierra Nevada fans here. It's readily available at Mandalay Bay, Aria, Bellagio, and V/P. These are the ones that come to mind. I'm sure there are others.
