Please, give it to me straight. I just turned 35, but don't really look it. I just want a fun spot to hang. I've stayed at the Luxor once, that was too far off the "meat" of the strip. They I stated at MGM. I will try the Flamingo this time, but just wondering what the pool is like. Or scene, for that matter.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Its like Heaven! I was just there Labor Day Weekend, I am 38, my buddy is 41 we were right at home. There is a nice mix of 21 to literally 71! We saw all ages. They play hip-hop music daily, there was a booty shaking contest each day at 2pm. Its a "party pool".

We paid like $48 per 12pk in a cooler, real nice touch considering the heat! Mixed drinks were pricey, but good. I have stayed all over the strip and unless something really changes the Flamingo is my home base, largely because of the pool.

Thanks, Ron. You know, I got a great deal there. Wed, Thurs, Fri & Sat night, checking out on Sunday for $282 (June 2013). That is with taxes/fees all everything included. I just got back from staying at the Luxor, it's an okay hotel, but the energy level was extremely low, even in the casino. I wanted to be more in the "meat" of the strip & I've heard great things about the pool. Thanks for your feedback.

    Mike,

Sounds like Flamingo is just what you are looking for! One of the nice things is the Casino is not huge like some other properties, so the vibe is always good and it always feels pretty happening. The habitat area in the rear is a good place to unwind with a coffee, beer or cigar!

Too bad I have to wait til June. :-(
It's funny, I can't go back to Atlantic City after being in Vegas. It's such a let down.

John, I'm not sure. I think it will be close to the tail end, but someone else will be better to advise, than I would.

I was wondering about this as well - if it is still open in october. I am at a conference in 3 weeks at Caesars and am staying at Flamingo...trying to fill my out of conference time with 'wife approved' activities as I am going on my first solo trip....

My wife and I stayed there in August. We liked the pool and the atmosphere (I'm 51). Mixed drinks were pricey. The beer deals were decent.

Nothing wrong with the Caesar's pool either.

I was out there a few weeks ago. I seem to recall a sign saying it was open full time thru Oct 8, then weather dependant for the rest of the month, or something like that.

Can we get into Caesars Pool while staying at the Flamingo? It's right across the street, does anyone know the restrictions there? Fee? Room Key Needed?

My friend and I stayed there last month (both 27) and had a blast there. Maybe the single most fun day of our trip. The first day we went at around 10:00 and it was kind of dead so we didn't stay long. The following day we got there about 1:30. They had the booty shaking contest and we made lots of friends, so much fun!

They were letting folks into Garden of the Gods with a room key from any CET property, but evidently they've cracked down. From what I hear, though they've just been checking IDs and CET keys lately, so I'd say it's a 50/50 shot. Worst case scenario you walk back across the street the Bugsy's House.
