    Hi everyone.

Just got off the phone with my host at bellagio. She offerred me 3 nights in a standard room at new year. Thats it. No limo. No vip check in. Nada.

This is my first time at new years and wondered if i am getting done over?

Last trip i had a penthouse suite, all food, $700 free play, cabana, vip check in and limos both ways. Pretty sure i didnt underplay as she took some of these off the bill at check out. I am noir.

Anyone know if this is standard at new year?

    Thanks for your help!

the competition for the big suites at New Years is insane. guys with huge CLs are getting bumped out of suites all the time. so maybe she just knows you'll be bumped out of a suite anyway and is trying not to get your hopes up. but not giving you any F&B or VIP check-in is a little odd. that's stuff that you should get any trip if you qualify.

it sounds like you play slots, so what was your coin-in last trip and how many nights?

Offers for New Year are always a bit smaller than normal offers. But usually they throw in some kind of party.

With that said, your offer seems a bit smaller than what I'd expect based on your previous offer. There's no reason your freeplay should go away. I got the same freeplay for my NY offer that I do for every other offer.

I can see you not getting a suite upfront during NYE's, but the lack of limo, free play, VIP check in and F&B as others have mentioned is odd. I'm always invited to several parties round NYE, but it's too early for the invites to the parties to go out which is likely why she didn't mention one to you. If it was me I would just call her back and ask why you aren't getting any F&B credit, Limo or VIP check in for NYE's, it's a reasonable question for you to ask in my opinion.

Thanks. Yeah, I dont mind so much about the room, but the rest just seems a bit tight.

I play craps and slots with a theo of about $2500 per day.

Might be a decent time to see what another property from the same company is going to do for you.

with that kind of theo what you got last trip sounds about right if not a little big high. but you should at least be getting a Bellagio suite at RFB with limo and VIP check-in. a regular room with no perks is definitely a low-ball offer.

NYE is a wild time in Vegas. We did it one year with big invite only party at Paris. Then went out to street at 11:30. Zoo, but cool.

I would check to see if you have a party invite.

The way you worded this part is kind of confusing:

The first part sounds like "this is what I was comped up front..." but the second part sounds like you are saying you weren't comped anything up front and the actual comping took place at the end of the trip, and that only some of this was comped, not all of it.

Otherwise, what I am thinking is:

    - When you were in Las Vegas last did you give Bellagio most, if not all, of your gambling play? Asked because last year they did switch the program so that you really need to concentrate your play at a particular property if you want to maintain comps and offers from that property.
IE: in the past you could accept and offer from Bellagio and then go and give MGM Grand most of your play and then in the future continue to get great offers from Bellagio. The way it is now if you did that then you would start to get great offers from MGM Grand and you'd get next to nothing from Bellagio.

    - Its Bellagio, and its New Years. Thats the other thing I am thinking: its the peak of what MGM has in Las Vegas and being New Years Eve it could be that what they require to get top tier comps is a lot higher.

Personally, I am thinking its probably the former: where maybe you gambled as much as you normally do but either your money didn't last as long as it did in the past or you spread your money around to other properties.

I am thinking that because I am only "Gold" but because we concentrate most of our play at Monte Carlo and/or Aria for New Years Eve Monte Carlo is offering me 3 nights in a suite, $250 free play, $125 food credit and two tickets to the NYE party.

But in your case what I'd do is call and ask them, not us, why your NYE offer is not that good and why there are certain perks you aren't getting. They will be able to actually look at your account and should be able to tell you why.

I'm also gold, and I have a very similar offer to what Auggie has from Monte Carlo for NYE. Slightly different numbers on the FP and food, but otherwise identical. And that's before talking to my host, who will give me that offer at a minimum, but might bump it up.

I thought everyone knew, but offers are not based on your tier level. They are based on your average play. Sometimes they appear to correlate, but other times a Gold player will get a better deal than a Plat.

Absolutely true. But gold v noir, most times I'd expect the offer to be better for noir.

Thanks all. Most of my last stay was up front comped. I got the cabana and a few other bits comped at the end.

Sounds like i am not getting a great deal. I will call my host again to find out more, and also speak to Aria to see if they can do better.

Definitely check with your host. You should at least get the limo because that is a Noir perk that is even listed on the Mlife website.

Mike, good idea, I always tell people shop around within the MGM family. Like you I just happened to land at HOTEL32 with RFB&I and my free play offer for NY Eve actually went up from my last trip. Would take allot to get me away from Monte Carlo/Hotel32.

Me too. For me, they consistently beat everything else. But when I called a host at luxor, he was willing to match everything. So I believe that since they can look at your play, you'll get a fair offer from other properties, adjusted of course up or down based on the level of that property within the family.

My wife was ready to move on from MC, but after this last stay I think we're probably there for good.

Thanks for all the comments folks and the pm's. I have rebooked at Aria and got my room, limo, food etc comped up front. Just goes to show how you have to shop around with MGM!

    See you at new years!

We just booked Palazzo for news years 4 nights and tickets to Foriegner comped so the Casino's are offering good comps.
Have played at Palazzo a few days over the year but not stayed there in 2 years.
    cheers
