leaving monday - wife and i 45ish looking to dance- drink without getting into total club attire and waiting in line --any suggestions--
Toby Keiths in Harrah's, Cathouse in Luxor and just about any Lounge in Casino areas typically have a little something going on and folks dancing. The one in Ballys gets pretty lively!
Carnaval Court in Harrahs and Eyecandy in Mandalay Bay have pretty good reviews. Also with excellent reviews, Bond and Chandelier bar at Cosmopolitan are lounges i hope to check out on my next trip. Cathouse at Luxor is SOOO beautiful!!! Just quite amazing.
Eyecandy in Mandalay Bay and Cathouse have been our go to places the last couple of trips, very non D baggy places with great atmospheres.
I might suggest either the Cabaret Lounge at Paris or the whatever-they-call-it casino lounge at Bally's. No line, no cover, no formality. Bally's says they have a minimum but they seldom enforce it. They have a band at Bally's most evenings. Band on the weekends at Paris, deejay on the weekdays. We went to the Chandelier Bar last April and I sure don't remember any band/deejay or dance floor.
If you have a casino host, ask them to walk you into their properties club. Generally guests staying at that property enter free, but have to wait in line. THe hosts can bypass the lines. Just don't dress like a bum and you'll be fine. Usually walk-ins are reserved for their gamblers, but it never hurts to ask. Casino hosts usually can't do anything for tables/drinks, etc....
