made diamond for first time, so get it now and until end of this year and all of 2013. Does it matter in furture offers on how manny tier points you end up with. went from 11600 to 14000 and now 18000 and plan on three more trips before the year ends. average about 3800 tier points a visit. Or should I use my husbands card (not a gambler) he has a woping 341 tier points as he mite make platium if i do use it. But we go on all comp offers and i would not be putting anything more on my card.
    thanks for the help.

Even though you are Diamond now, your offers are still based on your level of play and not the color of your card.

So if you book your offers and use your card for all the perks, but put all your play on husband card, your level of play on your card will start to go down.

With your husband's card I think the big thing is: does he do anything that he would benefit from being Platinum without you? Does he go on trips without you?

The Platinum perks that most people will use are:
    - 2 for 1 show tickets
    - Platinum Check In
    - Buffet Line Pass

If the two of you always go to Vegas together then the show tickets and check in don't matter because you would just use the benefits you get from being Diamond (Diamond Check In and 2 free show tickets). And the same for the buffet line pass: if he never does buffets on his own then he would likely be with you and therefore just go in as part of your Diamond buffet line pass.

So in your case there is likely no reason or benefit to put any play on his card and just keep putting it on yours.

    Yes, what Auggie said.

My husband doesn't gamble so he never uses a card. I use to do alittle play on it but not anymore.

Keep on using your card only.

We have done the single Diamond, and two accounts at Diamond.

For a few years, I would do enough play on my wife's card to get her to Diamond. The advantage?

    - she can get in and out of Diamond Lounge without me

    - when we have another couple with us, we can each take someone into
    Diamond Lounge

    - When in Vegas, we could get two sets of tickets

    - We have booked a separate room in her name for friends

She would once in a great while get an offer on her own, but they seem to only acknowledge one player in the family. In Tunica, we would get some freeplay in her name as well as mine - sometimes.

As to offers, it is based primarily on ADT.

Our play at CET has dropped way off with more at MGM. Her tier this year is under 1,000. We will survive.

Exactly what everyone else has said. The color of the card doesn't matter it's all ADT. I have realized this a lot. I am a Diamond CET holder and I would go to the local casino with my girlfriend and play mostly slots and table games we used to do this quite often. I would get free rooms, f&b credits, buffet passes, and freeplay. We don't go together as often and I go to play Texas Holdem 1/2 NL on the regular about once a week and rarely play any slots or table games. After using their free rooms to go play cards and not giving the house any money it seemed to drop off and I can barely get a free room now. Not until I go gamble and play some slots do the offers start coming back.

Just noticed this part. If you go on a comp and put little or nothing your card, your offers will drop.

Everything is tied to your ADT - average daily play.

Only reason to use other card/account is if there is a reason, and possibility to get him to Diamond.

I wanted to make diamond in AC before a Vegas trip so I put alot of points on my card in a short time. At the same time we continued to play about the same amount on wifes card. She is a low gold. She was getting comps for dinner for 2 and decent freeplay. Since I made diamond and mostly play on her card (approaching Plat) she now gets NO comps and the comps they offer me are less then what she was getting! I know her ADP has increased and I try not to let mine slip on each trip. Could it be my high RCs?

I would try to put as much play as possible on one card. It might be a better idea to put it on the Diamond card... it might be the one they look at for "family" offers.
