Ok, here is my dilemma. I have not been to Las Vegas for over 5 years. I am a 40YO single male who will be traveling alone. I am arriving on 11/19 and departing on 11/23. I know this is a slow time in Vegas which is fine by me.

I received an offer from the Wynn to stay at Wynn or Encore with a complimentary night and $200 in free slot pay. I really never considered staying there until I go the offer from them. I don't really pay slots so I am not exactly sure how the free play works but will take any advice on this. The total for all 4 nights there including taxes and resort fees is $545.55

My other option which is also booked is to stay the first two nights at Planet Hollywood and the second two nights at Aria. I don't mind switching hotels so that is not an issue for me. The total for these two hotels with taxes and resort fees comes in at $463.00.

I am defintely on a budget and will play $10 or $15 blackjack for the majority of my trip with some Video Poker mixed in. Food options are really not that big of a deal to me, I walk alot when I am in Vegas and don't mind walking a few resorts down to get something to eat where I want to.

I am torn as far as where I should stay as I have never stayed at any of these resorts. I do like the north end of the strip but have only stayed as far as Palazzo in the past.

As i mentioned I will play low limit blackjack and while I am not expecting much in the way of comps, in the past at other properties seem to have gotten somewhere around $25 to $40 per day in comps if I ask so any advice on this would be great too.

HELP ME FIGURE OUT THE RIGHT CHOICE PLEASE :peace:

I myself would do PH & Aria. Location at PH is great, it's got a good party vibe, rooms are nice and you'll find lower table limits there. Very easy to casino hop as well.

If it were me I would stay at PH and Aria. The location is better, your on a budget and it's cheaper, more choices for food with a shorter walk, You said you didn't care for the north end anyway. And you will probably have a little better luck finding lower limit tables there(in that area) than at the wynn, but I'm guessing with that.

I'd probably do PH and Aria.. Wynn is just always boring to me, espicially during the week.

Since you have a free night at Wynn, I would stay there for 1 or 2 nights. Use the slot play to play slots or VP.

The other night I would consider Aria. I would also consider other hotels near Wynn if you are inclined to walk to your next hotel vs cab, etc.

I guess I should have clarified. The free night is with a 3 night minimum.. Now I am thinking about just slumming it at Harrah's for the first night and then move to the Wynn for the last 3 nights. That would save me about $125

I guess I prefer to spend a little bit on the room and have stayed at harrah's before and while it was ok, it wasn't by any means luxurious..I guess I am becoming a bit of a snob :)

Sogi, there is no comparison between Wynn/Encore rooms to Planet Ho. Wynn rooms are far superior. You should also be able to find $10 BJ but that is the minimum. Not sure if this is a factor but Wynn's pool (like Planet Ho) is heated and open year round. However, the pool at Wynn is much better.

No matter where you stay, it will be fine. I like all of those hotels. But if it were my choice I would definitely stay the 3 nights at Encore. You don't mind walking so getting around won't be an issue. Treat yourself and do it right...Encore. $200 in free play to mess around on the slots or video poker or keno is great considering you said your a low level table player.

$200 free play @ Wynn? I'd take that! That's 40 hands of $1 vp. You can play 9/6 job or 8/5 bonus, count everytime you hit the deal button and when you've played your 40th hand, cash out.

Where do you believe you'll feel most comfortable is the main decision. You're on a mini vacation, enjoy it.

Planet Hollywood to me is apples and oranges to the Wynn. Way more lively, lots of 20 somethings partying hardy. If that's your thing, then go with option #2.

Isn't that Thanksgiving week? That's definately a busy week. Many schools are out this week so families take alittle vacation.

Since you haven't been in such a long time, maybe you can get a friend to go along with you.

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a great time!

I'm going on the same offer but in October. You would probably find yourself being a day player at the Wynn. They have some low tables, but during the off hours, especially not on weekends. Even their buffet comp requires $25 play. Being a 5 star hotel, don't expect it to have a party atmosphere throughout. They have clubs and pool activities for this, but they are specific destinations, separate from the casino's and common areas. Your experiencing luxury and a more sedate enviornment as your trade off. What life style are you trying to accomplish during the majority of time on your trip? Having a big party with drinking and music, or a quieter atmosphere with relaxation and service?

Let me first say thank you for all the respones thus far. I am taking the advice of everyone that has posted.

I am now leading towards staying at Planet Hollywood and possibly Aria. I am now thinking of skipping the Aria and saving the money and use it for gambling or meals while I am in town.

While I would love to stay at the Wynn or Encore, I want a more lively atmosphere and it seems that Planet Hollywood will give me that.

I have not 100% decided yet so please keep the advice coming!
