My company is sending me to a Microsoft conference and putting me up in Bellagio for a week, in a lake view room!

Since Halloween is on a Wednesday is the town going to be sleepy?

I am probably going to take around $1500, not much but will be working most of the daylight hours and trying to make my bankroll last.

Is there anything I absolutely must do on Halloween in Vegas?

Halloween is fun in Vegas. It looks like the previous weekend is going to be the people in costume weekend.
You can always check this out if you are going to come in the weekend:

There aren't really any "must do" activities for Halloween in Las Vegas.

For the entire week you will see people in costumes but all the big Halloween events will take place on Saturday the 27th. Thats when Downtown will do its parade, the clubs and bars on The Strip will have their big parties with celebrity hosts and things like their sexiest costume contests.

But yeah, if you really want to see people all dressed up for Halloween that'll be the 26th and 27th

I've been in Vegas the last 6 years during halloween. No matter which day it falls under, theres always costumes all over the strip regardless if its weekday or weekend. Its actually a fun time to be on the strip.

I know most of you arent into the club scene, but there are a couple things happening at the clubs this year even though its falling on a midweekday.

Go downtown for the parade. It's a hoot! Lots of people in costume, many very creative. It starts at 7PM on Halloween night , not on the 27th.
