The same developers also bought Sahara's roller coaster and will be installing it.

I believe that the most recent plans call for late 2013 completion for both wheels. You'll be able to see progress in June, but no riding quite yet.

Wow! Is it just me or are there others that think these giant wheels will never "make it" ? If anything, wouldn't be better to have just one rather than to spend the millions for the basic same thing? Oh well, only in Vegas.

I take it you've never been on the London Eye?
Awesome view of the city and a great photo-op.
I think the LINQ will come out on top as the big winner!

    Its a ferris wheel.

Clearly some investors need someplace to put thier money now that the monorail is such a smash hit.

I give it about 2 years.

The original monorail gave walking tourists a useful lift from the Bellagio to the Monte Carlo, though I think seldom the opposite. The current incarnation is so far from the casinos that I think it actually adds more footsteps. It is also very sterile; it is good for a one time view of the buildings and the pile of canoes, but I don't think I'll take the time to ride it again.

the one across from M-Bay is really all by itself. Who would walk down there just for that?

The Linq is at least part of a grand Caesars Entertainment package and thousands are already walking from Flamingo to Harrahs and local area.

For my next trip to Vegas I really want to go after the Linq is finished. Where is the best place to get updates on its progress?
