Lots and lots of remodeling. Hopefully, the remodeling helps. I thought Palms was DEAD the Labor Day, and I mean DEAD.

Little Buddha, Gardunos, and Blue Agave are going away to be replaced by a new Sports Bar that is run by Cantor or STK. I got two different stories on who it is. But all agreed that it is a Sports Bar.

24/7 is not sure if it is staying or going. 24/7 just started an asian restaurant called Cathay but that has already been renamed Fortune but they have heard another Asian restaurant is coming in. Some confusion.

The tattoo parlor is gone. The Playboy Shop is gone.

The center bar is going to have a remodel.

I am only guessing here, but it looks like the idea is they are going to try and make the Palms a Sports Bettors destination.

You can carry around your smart device and bet around the casino, not just at the betting window. No idea if you can bet ANYWHERE, as in out of state or from another casino. I did not download the app for my own personal reason at this time.

The new sportsbook is cool looking. Has all the nice new features. I donated money there on the Virginia Tech football game. it is NON-SMOKING.

There is still this reference to the now gone Playboy Club, which was the last signage of any type I could find.

Pure conjecture on my part, but I don't think George Maloof is enjoying working with CET. I sensed a lot of bad karma coming from the n9NE group properties at Palms pertaining to CET. That would be N9NE, Ghost Bar, Rain, Moon, Nove italiano, and the now closed Playboy Club. I don't know anything for fact, just some educated guessing on my part. I talk to a lot of people and try to connect the dots.

I am just back and I still need to get my trip notes to add more stuff I heard. I am just typing from memory.

this would be a sweet idea; I don't think I've set foot in there since Rain was a brand new club

haven't felt like going back in quite some time

Well I for one, will miss The PALMS. By that I mean this 'coming soon' new
look and offerings will not appeal to me much.
I had my time at The PALMS in the early years...great casino/rooms/lots of fun.
These days, I just enjoy Sante Fe and the Fat City Horns that play in the
PALMS Lounge every Monday night but...............even that is rumored to change.
Jerry Lopez is thinking about moving his group to Cabaret Jazz at The SMITH CENTER.
As with everything in Las Vegas...NOTHING...is meant to last.

Yep, Palms is going to have to really up the game to compete. It's no longer the hip new place in town. And, (as always) it has to be able to offer something attractive enough to get people off The Strip. It can be done. As always, I wish every business in Las Vegas success - it's good for all of us.

The Palms buffet, particularly with player's card, is a heck of a bargain and delicious!

im glad they remolded the palms tower rooms ,i hated them.

24/7 always served chineese food and there was always a shuttle from the palms it ran twice a day to the strip.

i hate the resort fee ,i guess trying to compete with hardrock
